Try to readjust the magnito coil closer to the flywheel. You will have to look up the specks on your specific unit on how to do this and what the gap is. If this does not work, then most likely the coil is bad and will need to be replaced.

Why is spark plug breaking down on new honda generator 3000?

If the plug isn't fouled and looks all right, it could be the resistor cap on the plug wire. It could also be a warning from the CDI that it is giving up the ghost.

1994 honda cbr 600 motorcycle wont start just turns over put new petrol and replaced plugs but still wont start please help

check pulse generator circuit for any opens or shorts..even if you still show a weak purplish/red spark its must be a big bluish/white spark..check plug #1 for spark and then check #3 foe spark if there both week then its your pulse generators that are bad ..but if one of them has a blushish spark then it that systems #1and#4 or the #2and #3 coils..

Model pm0542000 01 coleman generator needs spark plug

This particular generator can come with Briggs & Stratton engine (spark plugs recomended will be then Champion RC12YC).

This model can come as well with Honda engine or with Subaru engine.

These variation depend on country of manufacture.

As I do not know where are you located, I give you this which is known to me, if you have Honda or Subaru engine, my best bet will be follow this advice:

1. stop engine
2. undo spark plug and note what alhanumerics are on porcelain bit, eventually grab the sparkplug and go to closest fuel station/car spares/hardware/camping store and they will be able to tell you what sparkplug and even sell you one.

Hope this will solve your problem :-)

Honda EG 2200 Generator wont Start

First make sure that you have a spark; remove the spark plug and position it so that the threads are touching the engine frame. Pull the cord and check the plug for spark. If you have spark, put the plug back in.

Get some starting fluid and spray it into the air intake of the carbuerator. Try to start the engine. If it starts and then stops, that indicates that you have a fuel delivery problem. Clean the fuel filter.
