Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Open control panel, open mouse. Make changes there. In reference to the email. There are laws in place in the US. When you receive an unwanted email scroll to the bottom of it. There should be a section stating something like to un-subscribe click here or instructions on how to un-subscribe. Most of us continue to just block, sooner or later they run out of email address. You can also report unwanted email. Click this link:

Report it to the Federal Trade Commission. Send a copy of unwanted or deceptive messages to spam@uce.gov.

Found my own solution, though it cost me a bit. A kernal program was corrupted and interfering the computer's ability to recognize key presses. I ran the Recovery disc and reloaded XP. It solved the problem, but I lost my C: drive data. Most of it I had backed up before, so a moderate inconvenience.

Now, if anyone has a good idea about how to recover my lost data, that would be nice.

Go to control panel then click folder options, it will have 2 options single click to open an item and double click to open an item. Choose double click, then click apply and then ok. After that, it should make you double click on a file or folder to open it. If i helped please leave me a rating. If you need more help leave a comment and ill try again.

Cursor jumps into a previously-typed word or line and emails won't open

which email account ??

Acer laptop computers come with built-in touchpads to control cursor movement onscreen. Depending on the sensitivity and settings of the touchpad, it may register undesired motions as mouse controls, causing the cursor to jump erratically. The software drivers that Acer includes with its systems have sensitivity options that help alleviate this problem and ensure that only deliberate touchpad motions and taps cause the cursor to move.

Click on the Start menu and open the Control Panel. Choose an "Icon View" option from the "View by" dropdown menu, then click the "Mouse" icon. Navigate to the "Device Settings" tab and click on the Synaptics device in the list. If you have installed and use custom software other than a Synaptics application for controlling the touchpad, select it instead. Click the "Settings" button. Click the "+" symbol to expand the "Pointing" section in the left frame, and then the "Sensitivity" section. Click on "PalmCheck." If you have replaced the Synaptics drivers, the menu may use a different set of options. Click and drag the bar to the right, closer to the "Maximum" setting. An increased PalmCheck setting will help decrease cursor jumping due to accidental palm activations, a common occurrence when typing. Click on "Touch Sensitivity." Click and drag the bar to the right, closer to the "Heavy Touch" end. This will ensure light brushes by fingers or accidental activations by other objects will not cause the cursor to jump. Click "Apply" to test the settings, and "OK" when satisfied to save the changes and close the window.

Try right clicking on email select open

Mousepad on laptop too sensitive, jumps and opens links all the time

Hi I also have OS Vista, try this:-
go to the bottom left corner of the screen to the windows button and single click it, move the cursor to "control panel", leave it there and a whole new list of stuff will appear, move the cursor to "personalization" and click it once. This will open a box on the screen. Single click on "mouse pointers", this will open another smaller box with 8 tabs inside. You can click on any of these tabs and adjust your mouse actions to your own preferences, eg; how the pointer looks, how fast you double click, how fast the pointer moves on the screen, anything you like :)
Once you have made all your adjustments, click "apply" in the bottom right corner of the box and this will save the changes you've made.
I hope this helps.

My cursor won't move and ive tries resetting my

I want you to attach an external mouse and see if you can get the cursor to move. If it does, you have a defective driver. Microsoft can diagnose and fix that problem in three easy clicks. CLICK HERE for the diagnostic and fix.
