Invalid configuration information-please run setup program. Performing automatic IDE configuration...... how to solve this problem.. tq..

Did you install a new hard drive, CD drive or DVD drive?
When a new drive is installed it needs to be configured in the BIOS. If so you need to go into the setup (BIOS) menu and then hold down the and keys and the press the and key to re detect newly installed IDE drives.
IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) refers to the interface circuit that the motherbrd uses to communicate with your hard drive, CD drive or DVD drive.

Err:invalid

Your message is not complete, so I will assume you got the most frequent message "ERROR: INVALID DIMENSION."

The solution for this problem is simple. When you use the calculator to create statistical graphs, it is configured to accommodate the specificities of the problem. However that configuration remains set after you terminate the problem. So when you try to use the calculator to do other problems it uses the stored configuration parameters, which may be incompatible with the new problem.
In particular, list of paired-variables must have the same dimensions: There must be the same number of elements in each list.

To make a long story short, you should make it a habit to reset the Ram every time you want to do a new problem. If for reasons of you own you do not want to reset the Ram, you can prevent this type of errors from occurring. This is how you do it.

  1. Press [2nd][Y=] (STATPLOT)
  2. Choose option [4:PlotsOff][ENTER]. Screen displays Done
  3. Press [2nd][0] (CATALOG)
  4. Press [PGRM] (C) to jump to first command that starts with c.
  5. Use arrow to scroll down to ClrAllLists, select it [ENTER]
  6. Calculator displays Done
  7. Start the new problem
To reset the Ram press [2nd][+] (MEM) [7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset]. Press [CLEAR] to erase the Ram Cleared message.

In many machines the larger memory module needs to go in the first slot.
Make sure that is not your problem. Otherwise you may have an incompatible memory module.

The issue is likely caused by a Windows System Restore. You have a couple options to resolve. If you backed up your user training files, restore them, if not, then Create a new user training profile. CLICK HERE for easy-to-follow directions for creating a new user training profile.

As for installing it to a USB drive, I'm not sure, but the application make numerous writes to the windows registry, so I would not recommend installing to a removable drive.
