Sounds like it might be a manufacture defect. I would call their customer service number and ask them about it.

If I use my scooter for long it seems as if the brake/motor gets hot if i leave it for a while or tip some water over it it carries on. Jenny

Tipping water over electrical equipment is not a good idea - sooner or later it will lead to trouble.

Lots of motors and other equipment have a thermal cut-out or temperature sensor to protect things from damage caused by overheating. The big question is, is the motor really overheating or is the safety device cutting the power too soon?

A motor that iis working hard will become hot but that shouldn't bother it as they are designed to tolerate becoming hot, though how hot is hot - I would say if the motor is more than hand-hot it is a cause for concern. If it is cutting out at less than hand-hot it indicates a suspected faulty safety device.

Assuming the motor doesn't have a fault that is causing it to overheat then the answer is the motor is working too hard - it hasn't the capacity to do the work asked of it. If the steering and brakes are properly adjusted and the tyre pressures are ok and nothing seems to be binding, what is left is the load is too heavy or the hills are too steep or a combination of both...

What cause the turbocharger to become red hot after running for few minutes

Hi Again:
Check the exhaust system, muffler etc. to make sure that it is not obstructed and that the muffler is large enough. Excess back pressure could cause overheating.

Temp gauge says cat is overheating, but it's not hot and doesn't smell like antifreeze

By cat I assume you realize this is a warning for an overheating catalytic converter not the engine, the Cat is locate in the exhaust system and can cause a fire.

While charging the unit becomes hot near the top of the remote. The screen then has a blacked out circle in it.when the unit cools the screen returns to normal. Can this be repaired?

Yes, if you can get inside the remote control. For some reason the power management circuit is overheating and this is overheating the display. If it happens too many times, it could ruin the display. Fortunately, you know exactly where the hot part is; the only question is whether the part itself is the problem or something else is causing it to run hot.

If the hot part is the battery, you definitely want to get it repaired. The charger may be running at a dangerously high rate, or the battery is defective (assuming the temperature exceeds safe limits; some heating is normal). Check your warranty. Report this problem immediately to the manufacturer for possible recall action, even if the warranty has expired, and include the Product ID number as well as the model number (more information is provided on the manufacturer's page). Overheating batteries can explode, so they are considered a safety hazard.

Chair is slowing down. Batteries are fully charged.

How old are the batteries? Even fully charged older batteries can be weaker and not give you as much power to keep the speed at what you are used to. Now a dragging bake can cause you to go slower and also drag the batteries down quicker. Try driving the chair and after awhile check each motor to see if they feel overly warm or hot If one or both feel very warm or hot then I would have the brake or brakes checked If they seen ok I would get the batteries replaced

Dryer shuts off after about 10 minutes. Motor feels hot, real hot. I think it is overheating and shutting off. The lower the setting the longer it will run. Is it the Thermal fuse or thermostat?

There might be a problem with the bushing of the dryer motor that causes the rotor to become shorted with the magnetic field and that's the reason why it becomes too hot. It is also the reason why the thermostat shuts off the motor when it becomes too hot to avoid overheating. Replace the bushing of your motor.

It appears to get to hot i put foil in bottom to

The manufacturers of most kitchen ranges recommend that you DO NOT put foil on the oven bottom. Although, you may have good intentions, it causes problems just like the one you mentioned. It can cause uneven heating, inaccurate oven temperatures, or an oven to become too hot. If this is an ELECTRIC range, it can even cause premature failure of the heating elements. In some cases, if the oven is too hot, the foil can become seriously affixed to bottom oven pan which becomes extremely difficult to remove. It is recommend that you routinely check the oven after each use, allow to cool and clean as necessary with an approved oven cleaner (yes, they even make these cleaners for self-cleaning ovens) to keep stains and spills to a minimum. If you have questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

My whirlpool side-by-side is getting hot on strip between doors but everything seems to be working fine. Is there a solution? What if it becomes extremely hot??

It will not become extremely hot. It is heated by a thing called a mullion heater. It warms the area so it doesn't sweat and mold in the summertime. It is perfectly normal.
