The Tapco equalizer was a very popular line of equipment which was eventually bought up by Electro-Voice. Could not find any online manuals, however found online images of back panel. It appears to have Tape Ins & Outs.

Unfortunately the equalizer you have is not compatible with the receiver unless you have special cables that have built in transformers. This unit has T&R connectors (tip & ring) meant for professional sound equipment.

On a typical home stereo receiver you would hook up your equalizer with RCA connectors as follows.

1) You take the output of the equalizer and plug it into the input of the receiver.

2) You take the output of the Receiver and plug it into the input of the equalizer.

Start with lower volume and your tape switch on the receiver to the on position. Play with the various controls on your equalizer to

I have a Pioneer VSX-D308 reciever and I have... no idea how to hook it up to my big TV (bought receiver used). Do I need the red/white cords? Do I need other cables? HELP! Wanting to hook up to big...

What your unidentified TV >>requires<< is the BEST Video from every video source. That would be the DVD, SAT Box. It probably has multiple high-end video inputs, right?

What your receiver needs is at least a basic composite video connection to the TV so you can set it up and manage it.

A web search for "Pioneer VSX-D308 manual" will find the manual.

ALL of the BEST Audio should go directly to the Pioneer. That includes the SAT and DVD player.

Your TV can exist just fine with basic audio from the video sources. And you could still watch it/them without the Pioneer turned of if you want.

I can't find the exact manual for free anywhere but if you download something similar like http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-D409-Receivers-manual/id/385ci977/t/2/ it should give you the basic guidance you need.

I recommend

Do some web searching for what the cables are for. It's all basic and standard.

Need to know how to hook up my cd player to this vsx 456 pioneer reciever and the out to my 8 track recorder. Thanks Nick

Have you looked at the manual? It's basic hook-up.

Any source's Outs go to Ins on the receiver.

Tape recorders attach to tape loops (outs to ins).

Digital sources will not appear at analog outputs.

I am trying to hook up my Pioneer vsx-455 to a LG LED LCD TV. I am not sure on how to do this and I can not find a manual anywhere. Can you help me?

your reciever does not have hdmi, so the audio is not going to be true DD+ or DTS for broadcast tv.

if your dvd/blue ray player has digital optical spdif, this can be used to transfer the encoded DD+/DTS digital audio.

the besat way to run your tv audio through the reciever is to hook up the dvd/blue ray player up with (perferrably) digital optical spdif, composite spdif or (least favorably) through the stereo stereo analog inputs on the reciever for "dvd" audio in and hook the video from the dvd/blue ray up to the corresponding "dvd" video component input on the reciever.

this way is only going to get your dvd/blue ray sound, next you need to hook up your cable box to the reciever so that you can get broadcast tv sound. hook up the cable box audio to the "tv" stereo analog audio ins, and hook the video to the corresponding "tv" video component inputs.

the component video inputs have separate jacks for red, green and blue ( labeled "Y" "Pb" and "Pr") and are capable of carrying a 1080p full hd signal. use the component video outputs on the reciever to output the video signal to a component video input on the tv, using the receiver's input selector to change the video source.

I cant seem to hook my pioneer gr 470 equalizer to my pioneer receiver ( vsx-403) what is the proper connection sequence?

tape out from reciever to line in on the eq --then line out from the eq to tape in on the reciever --whenever the tape monitor will be used on the reciever the sound will then be equalized

Recently purchased this reciever, and in reading the manual, I cannot tell if it will work if I hook my Comcast HDMI to one of the HDMI inputs (Input 2)? In general, i will be only hooking up the Cable box...

It should work fine. The Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K has been made so that it can accept 4 HDMI inputs (of which 3 are assignable, and 1 is for the BD player)
If you still have a problem, you can resort to the Official Thread on the Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K on avsforum. A lot of helpful guys out there, and a very active thread.

Pioneer VSX-815 speaker wiring

You can hook them up either way, the banana jacks are good for hooking two speakers to one terminal (ie one through the botton, one banana) but the electrical connection is the same either way. Sometimes the banana capable jacks are on speakers A and speakers B, and the surround don't accept banana plugs, your stuck with how your reciever is wired.
