Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: will shut off completely even

Hi, This sounds very interesting.
Here is what I would do.
1 I would, if you haven't done this already, connect the samsung into a different input. If you have a Video Input for a Laser Disk Player or VCR use the composite (yellow) from the DVD and analog left and right through the same. See what happens.
Additionally if your receiver has a "phono" input DO NOT USE THAT. It is super sensitive. Phono requires around 5/1000th of a volt for full output. Where as the CD, Aux, VCR and others require 1 volt for full output. An input overload condition will occur. That can shut down the receiver.
If you are having your receiver shut down with the samsung TV attached to a high level input, then the fault is definitely with the TV. It is defective. In this case contact samsung.

Source changes by itself when watching tv.

Check your buttons on the TV . Sounds like input or source button ( which ever one they call it ) is pushed in & stuck . Only way to make sure would be to disconnect it & see if it still changes inputs .

How do I retune my Samsung smart TV 40"with 3D

Country (Area)

Broadcasting > Channel Settings > Country (Area)

Select your country so that the TV can correctly auto-tune the broadcasting channels. This depends
on the country or region.
When the PIN input screen appears, enter your 4 digit PIN number.

Digital Channel
Change the country for digital channels.

Analogue Channel
Change the country for analogue channels.

Manual Tuning

Broadcasting > Channel Settings > Manual Tuning

Scans for a channel manually and stores in the TV.
If a channel is locked using the Channel Lock function, the PIN input window appears.
This function depends on the country and region

Page 147 of this User Manual located on this page will give you more information. (Sorry it wouldn't let me link the PDF manual directly)

I bought a new Samsung LED 40" Series 5 TV. However, after connecting to the tv cable line, i get message " weak or no signal" and not able to get any tv signals. What could be the problem?

You usually hear "weak or no signal" when the tv's input is set to air. Check to see if changing the input might help. Or if you are using an antenna to get your tv, then maybe your antenna is not powerful enough. The new digital signal is weaker than the analog, so antennas that once worked might not work as well now. Hope this helps!
