Simpson Harmony Nova electric oven heating problems (oven heats but no fan and light)

The Fan has ,in most cases, two functions - to maintain the oven temp and to clear any condensate or smoke coming from items being cooked. If your oven is over heating it could be the thermostat sensor faulty and giving a faulty reading to the fan. If you set you oven at 350F then sensors control the heat by kicking the heating elements off and in some models and makes the fan aids cool down. Make sure it is at a temperature that would trigger the fan to cool it down. It mostly relies on the regulation of the heating elements to control the temp. Only if it were to get hotter than the elements kicking off can control should the fan kick on. Not being at the site and actually seeing the stove it is hard to determine but if the fan is working every where else it should work when the oven is heating. Again check and see if there is a seperate sensor that monitors the temp of the over and triggers the fan. Not much help but that's where I would look first. Hope this was of some help.

Miele 310 oven griller works but not the oven. why?

Remember that some parts of a 240 volt stove require two live wires and most of the controls or elements being only 120 volts require just one live wire. Hence the double pole 40 amp breaker must have tripped but does not appear tripped. Just turn it off and back on to reset

I set my kitchenaid superba self clean oven to clean mode. It cleaned it however now I cant get the oven to work. Stove top works but oven doesn't. What can I do to fix this?

Pyrolitic mode heats up quite hot. Might have tripped the high temp cutout.
Does the oven fan work? if so >> check element

My Maytag Performa oven and stove top will not turn on (heat up)

When I turn on my Maytag performa using the "bake" function, everything looks ok on the display, however the temp. never rises above 100. I've tried "bake" and "convect", and neither one work. "Clean" doesn't work either. The oven will lock, and display shows that it's heating up, but temp. never rises.
However....."broil" feature works just fine.
Please help.

Oven was heating and we got HEAVY smoke....

Nothing in the elements, thermostat thermocouples are gas filled, sensors have wiring inside, nothing in the liner or insulation. You said this was a stove, and some stoves have a vent that goes up through one of the burners on the top. If you had oil splatter or drip into this it can get into your oven. We do know that some blower fans on convection ovens have a sealed oil bearing, but there would be very little oil coming out of this (drops) and you will notice your fan getting noisier or running slower in the near future. WHY WON'T MY OVEN HEAT UP?

Most modern gas ovens and many broilers use a "glow-bar" style of igniter that glows red-hot to ignite the gas. If the igniter doesn't reach the proper temperature, the gas valve won't open. You may need to replace the igniter.
