I had/have the same problem. It all has to do with the type of file (video) Mpeg, MP3, MP4 etc.... You can download a file converter but not a real easy fix. I found websites that have the correct file types, you just have to keep trying different sites or get the converter.
I have the same problem until today 1/6/10. I open the disk file and observe that the logo Try Again, Insert disk is a response for no internet connection. My computer always are connected to the modem. So I try to upload the CD when an internet page are opened and connected to the internet (working), and it's work. My daughter, finally will play with her Dora Link.
In my compurter goto C drive --> goto Program files --> goto Research in Motion --> delete vendor.xml file and reinstall the application after taking backup of the handheld.
I just went through this. I'm guessing you have the dora.exe file on your desktop? Try right-clicking on the file, and then select "run as administrator". It should let you follow the instructions from the website from that point on.
I think I just went through this issue. Try right-clicking on the .exe file, and select "run as administrator". It should create the appropriate folder in your Program Files sub-folder, and you should be able to follow the instructions from the website from that point on.
Good luck! I programmed one of my twins' names in, and now I'm having trouble getting the second phone to register the new name. If both phones have the same name, this one's a no-go.
