How to replace the brush on the Phillips Sonicare

1. Pull the brush head away from the brush handle with a small amount of force to release the connection. There will likely be a click and you will revel a metal prong that is the shaft that connects to the motor. The head is now detached.

2. Fit a brush head by pushing the metal tip of the brush motor at the top of the brush handle into the hole in the bottom of the brush head. As the two are pushed together there will be a click, the head is now attached.

I have had a Philips Sonicare that has a loose toothbrush. The metal rod that holds the toothbrush is very loose. Do you have any suggestions for fixing this problem? Thank you for your assistance.

If the steel rod is loose going into the handle. It is time for a new tooth brush. If the metal rod is loose going into the brush head. Replacing the brush head should fix the problem.

Are you sure the brush attachment is "tight" to the handle? Do you have a new brush to try? It should confirm handle is bad or it is the brush attachment "tightness" .

My sonicare toothbrush won't charge

The best tutorial for repairing Sonicare toothbrushes is here:
Repairing your Sonicare
The problem is either a corroded circuit board or worn-out Ni-Cad batteries. Both repair solutions require soldering, but full repair is possible.

My daughters sonicare toothbrush makes a noise but the bristles do not vibrate anymore. She only used it for about 4 days.

This happened to me as well. In my case, it meant that one of the metal bars for the brush head broke. If you unscrew the brush from the base and look at it, touch the metal stabilizer bars inside to see if one of them is broken. If so, a simple brush head replacement will fix your problem.
