- the drive does show. and no problems appear in the device manager either. ive tried multiple discs - cds, dvds, blank cds, blank dvds - and the drive wont recognize any of them. i cant do a restore thing because i have no restore points saved. im not sure waht to do.

this could be the disk you are using. does the dvd drive show if you look at my computer?
