Menu, Channel, Volume buttons are not working

My TV will turn on and off but the menu button that controls the brightness, contrast, language, time settings is disabled along with the ability to change channels or change the current volume....I see from the other postings that a fuse could be the you think that could also be the issue for me? And if so, how do you go about getting in the TV to check the fuses?

Re: Menu, Channel, Volume buttons are not working

Can you access through the back of the unit? If so make sure unit is unplugged, before going in. Then you should be able to look at the boards.

Red Hue

Go into the service menu and turn down the red push and red cut a few notches. Write down every value in the service menu and be careful to make sure you don't change anything else. Also, turn down the brightness a couple of clicks and the red glow will be gone.

Or, try this - Press Mute on the remote control twice, press Mute a third time and keep holding at the same time, press the Menu button on the TV front panel. If you do it correctly, you will see a small S on the screen. Congrats, you are in service mode. Press Menu on the remote to get to the adjustable settings. Be careful not to change anything without writting the original value down first. Also be careful of hitting other buttons on the remote. To reduce red push, Use the channel up down button until it says RCUT. Adjust the value using the volume button on the remote. I recommend setting RCUT to 80H, which is the preset value according to the service manual. To exit Service Mode, simply power off the TV. Good luck.

LC-32SB24U LCD HDTV... Brand new, just out of box. Turn on, goes to language menu for about 1 second max,too fast to adjust, then screen goes black and little green led power light starts to blink. And...

Good Day, texxastam;

Do this:

3. Plug in the TV. (the TV will turn itself on).
4. A blue "K" should now be showing on the TV screen, release the buttons.
5. Press and release the VOLUME DOWN & CHANNEL DOWN buttons simultaneously on the TV. (A blue service menu will appear on the screen).
6. Using the remote, press the DOWN SELECT button once. (The highlighted line should read INDUSTRY INT (+CAUSE) OFF
7. Using the remote, press VOLUME UP once (OFF changes to ON).
8. Press ENTER. After a few seconds the screen turns green and shows - Industry INIT success - at the top of the screen.
9. Unplug the AC cord for 10 seconds then plug back in.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

I have Sanyo TV. This problem started after I got into a sub menu with choices of volume lock and channel lock. I accidently set it the volume lock to ON. I could not go to that menu again. It seems that this TV has the feature of securing the volume so that the kids can't change it. Any way to go to the locks sub menu?

Buttons dont respond correctly

Sounds like one or more of the keypad buttons are sticking - That would also cause the remote control to stop functioning. When you saw "P:0 V:0" you somehow managed to put the tv into the service menu. Pull the keyboard away from the plastic buttons and make sure nothing is in the way.

Menu will not display

If the channel and volume visual display was not set up on the menu to display on screen , neither will show up even if either the remote or set front button are used. Make sure that the tv button is selected on the remote to access the menu .If that does not work ,then either the batteries are dead or the remote is dead.If it is you will need a new remote, sadly. Then you can press the m button , select sound and then select "display volume" and check "during adjustment". The channel display settings are found on "features" from the main menu. Hope this helps.
