Pull the tray out at the bottom of the printer. This is causing the printer to think it has a paper jam. It is simply the paper feed button.

SOURCE: the light first flashed orange causing printer to

The light flashing orange or green could mean a couple of things. First could mean that the paper size that you are using is not the same that you have configured on the printer or the paper size that you have selected on your software is not the same as the one configured in the printer. Also it could be a message of the toner low. You can try resetting he printer to factory defaults. Turn Printer off and open the front cover. Then Press and hold the Button with the Triangle and the Cancel Button the one with the X and turn the printer back on. You will have to keep the buttons pressed until the exclamation light comes up solid then release the two buttons and close the cover. That should reset the printer to factory Defaults.

SOURCE: Printer will not print yellow or orange, but

    > will not print yellow or orange

Yellow is one of the printer's "primary" colours.
Orange is mix of "red" and "yellow".

So, an empty "yellow" cartridge, or clogged ink-jets would cause your symptoms.

SOURCE: I just purchased a Lexmark

    View/Print/Download Users Guide (74 pages):

    http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/x2600/v12357467_en.pdf

(For WinXP) to use the Lexmark printer diagnostic software:
START > All Programs > Lexmark Service Center

(for WinVista) - same procedure, but "START" button is an icon.

    View/Print/Download Setup Sheet (2 pages):

    http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/2600/PN14V1071.pdf

In case your USB port is disabled and your printer is connected to your system via the USB port:

    In Windows Vista
a Click (WinVista START ICON) > Control Panel.
b Click System and Maintenance > System.
    c Click Device Manager.

    In Windows XP
    a Click Start.
b Click Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance >System.
c From the Hardware tab, click Device Manager

Anyway, these manuals fail to list the printer display error codes....
    My ideas:
    (a) the all-in-1 may be in FAX mode and there is no active FAX/modem
and the LexMark Productivity Studio software isn't running - set it to Printer mode.
    (b) the All-in-1 is in COPY mode - set it to Printer Mode
    (c) the All-in-1 is in Scanner mode - set it to Printer mode.

How are your printer and PC attached? USB cable? serial cable? wireless? ethernet?

We would like to know more about the lights you're referring to. The lights are represented by Error, Jam, Load Paper, Toner Low, Ready and Continue (green button).

Since the printer will print, for us to give the common light sequences, please provide us information which light is orange on the printer.

An error occured we cannot print a document which the orange light was blink semoustanousely

Damage canon printers, can be identified from the number of lights blinking in orange. So, you calculate, how many times the orange light is blinking. Example E2, E3, E4, E5, E8, E9, E13, E14, E15, etc.

    Problem
    For
the error code E13 = The following ink may have run out black/color

    Solution
Press and hold the Reset button about 10 second. E13 error on canon pixma, occurs twice. E13 for black cartridges, and E13 for the color cartridges

Hello there wondering if you can help me My power light on my Canon ip2000 keeps flashing green/orange and the print queue stops and nothing is happening. I've powered the printer on/off Also have...

Usually means theres a paper jam or your out of paper or some problem is occurring. While that blinking orange is blinking press and hold it for about 5 seconds the printer should stop blinking orange and continue with the print. Also open up your printer to see if there are any documents that are in the print queue. Probably can delete those. Thats my guess as to whats wrong with the printer. Used to have one of those. Nice little printer remember 12 blacks for 12 bucks.

Both green and orange lights blinking. Printer

Try deleting all ready to print documents, restarting the printer and then re-booting the computer. Somebody in there is confused.

If that doesn't work, check your documentation on how to print a test page, if it will print then the problem is which the application otherwise re-install the printer.

The printer flashes orange light five times, and green once

Probably your waste ink counter. Should be cleaned or replaced before resetting but usually you can get away with resetting once.

    2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
    3. Release RESUME
    4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
    5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
    6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER

0 presses - green light - Test Print (exit service for i960)
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.

    This also applies to the i550, i560, i950, i960

    Printer ripair

The BJC 3000 will flash two different colored lights in a pattern to signal several different errors. From the documentation I have the two colors are orange and green, could those be the colors you see? At any rate here is the code: Two orange flashes: Out of paper, paper jam, or paper feed error. If no paper is loaded in the auto sheet feeder, or if the paper is not loaded correctly, set the paper correctly and press the Resume button on the printer to continue printing. Three orange flashes: Paper jam. If paper has jammed in the printer, carefully remove the jam and press the Resume button to continue printing. Four orange flashes: A tank inside the BJ cartridge (print head) is out of ink. Replace the empty BJ tank and press the Resume button to continue printing. Five orange flashes: BJ cartridge is not installed properly. Remove and reseat the cartridge correctly. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed. Make sure the blue locking lever is locked down securely. Six orange flashes: BJ cartridge (printhead) is not installed. Remove and reseat the cartridge correctly. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed. Make sure the blue locking lever is locked down securely. Seven orange flashes: BJ cartridge (printhead) is defective. Remove the BJ cartridge and check that the contacts on the cartridge and cartridge holder are clean. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed and reinstall the cartridge. If the error occurs again after you resume operation, you may need to replace the BJ cartridge. Eight orange flashes: Waste ink absorber almost full. The printer has a built-in waste ink absorber to hold the ink that is consumed during print head cleaning. This error indicates that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the Resume button to skip the error so you can continue printing. The POWER light flashes orange and green alternately: Service error. A service error means the printer requires the attention of a qualified technician. If you have any more questions let us know otherwise please don't forget to rate this post.
