Have nintendo 64 plugged in, yellow red and white input to back of tv, nintendo turned on, but no picture on tv

SOURCE: TV does not recognize PS2 input
On the TV you should have a video, input or mode button. If you press that button while the PS2 is on it should pickup the signal. You need to be in video mode instead of cable mode since you are using the red, yellow, white cables. Many TVs have a few video modes so press it wait a few seconds and try again if it does not work. That should be sufficient. FYI the yellow is composite video, and the read+white are the stereo audio plugs.
You probably need to select the appropriate input on your TV.

connect the AV cable to the red white and yellow input outlets on the tv and press input on your remote you have to be on video 1, 2, or 3 to play the nintendo 64
