SOURCE: No power to machine - there is power to the plug
I had the same thing happen. I took the top off and realized that the power cord from the factory went out the back.....back in an opening.....across the back but on the inside and out another opening. The part crossing the back on the inside was near the motor and belt and was cut through the hot wire and ground. Someone has to be an idiot to run the wire in the design on the inside.
From the details of your symptom you're indicating a possible intermittent loose connection between the user interface (touch panel) and the machine control board or the voltage supply to machine control board at P1 connector. Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
If the wires are good then you will need to replace the control board on your unit.
