Question about Dell 926 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Black/grey alignment lines on copies

Have a Dell All-In-One 924 (copy 1) printer. alignment lines, at times on the entire copy & others only a few, are appearing on my copies

Straight away the cartrides need to be cleaned and the ink holders need to be cleand.
same with a carriage rod.
take a cotton swab dip it in water and then clean the above parts.
also connect the printer directly to the wall jack witout the surge protector.

now check if you get the same error on the alignment page

How to remove printhead


Alignment shows black & streaky, only covers 3/4's of a line, color is good. The printer copies a document no problem; but only copies color (no black) from the computer. If the document is black print, I get a blank page. Do not know how to remove printhead

I have vertical black lines on my printer when scanning


when you are feeding paper thru the scan aperture you will see a light source, make sure there are no specs of dirt /tipex on the light source or the pickup, this is best achived with a very lightly dampned cloth ran across light source when the device if off of course,

Printer works, scanner/copy does not

My Dell All-in-One 924 Printer stays in copy mode

u can rest assure ., cause the default mode onthe printer is : mode -copy .

all dell ink jet printer model s have that as the default option .

the other modes are mode scan and mode fax . 

u can choose any mode based on ur need .

Dell 924, all copies print light brown not black.


your black cartridge has now low..you need to replace it with a brand new one cartridge..

Wrong ink color Dell 924 printer


run a nozzle clean, perform the following steps:
  1. Verify the All-In-One Printer 924 is powered on and connected to a computer.
  2. Verify that the paper support (input tray) has clean, plain white paper loaded.
  3. Press the Menu button.
  4. Press the Down button until Mode: Maintenance appears on the LCD screen.
  5. Press the Menu button.
    The Dell 924 Maintenance Menu appears on the LCD screen.
  6. Press the Down button until Clean Cartridges appears on the LCD screen.
  7. Press the Start button.
    The AIO 924 prints the cleaning page. This process cleans the ink cartridges and resolves many print quality issues.

Dell All in One Printer 962-dark vertical line on photo copies


If you are running your copies through the document feeder then see if the line goes away if you make a copy directly from the glass. If the line goes away then open up the doc feeder assy. by hinging it to the left. Underneath you will find that there is a thin strip of glass that the document passes over when it is scanned. Clean this strip of glass and this should correct your problem. If there is a smudge of dirt or small line, it will come out as a solid verticle line when scanned.

Cartridge problem


removed both cartridges and reinstall again, pls make sure that the cartridges are seated correctly

Cartridge alignment


So if the magenta or yellow are not showing up, it may mean you have installed an empty (or dried up) color cartridge. If you have it, put the "low" volume color cartrige back in and print an alignment page. If you don't have the cartridge, no problem, just print a page from Google. Don't worry about the alignment until you print from Google. See if color is even available. ZT3000 "Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"
