Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
During the latter stages of a wash cycle, as the tub begins to fill with water, a loud squeal develops from the rear of the washer. I've discounted air in the lines, the faucets are fully on, so I'm guessing it's the water inlet valve. Does this sound reasonable?
If so, is the part easily accessible or is this one of the washers that you open like a Japanese puzzle box?
There is a loose washer in the valve and the water is gong behind the washer therfore makeing the sound,, change the shut off valve and you will no longer have a sound,, good luck,, and make sure you trun off your waer to your house before removing the valves
