The system BIOS is probably good, but the operating system is most likely corrupt.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

This sounds like you have no operating system on your laptop. I bet someway, just as I did before, you have lost your operating system, and it needs to be reinstalled on your computer.

If you can get into the bios set it to default settings and reboot the laptop, it should let you through to windows
post back if you get the same result

There is a physical wireless switch on the left side of the computer. The switch turns both the wireless network adapter and the bluetooth on and off. You need to first make sure that this switch is on.
With switch in the ON postiton, then you can use the FN-F2 keys to toggle the wireless LAN on and off.
The wireless adaptor is probably a mini-pci card that can be access through a panel on the bottom. Wireless cards on laptops are not considered user-replaceable so Gateway does not show where the panel is or if it's mini-pci card. If there is a panel other than the hard drive and memory then that is where the wireless card is. They are not hard to replace though it's best to try to replace it with an exact model.
If the computer is in warranty, they Gateway will have you send it into their service depot to have it replaced,

Beeps usually indicate a problem with your hardware memory chips or keyboards or other items that are not functioning properly. I suggest if it is still under warranty send it back if not take it to a good shop for repair. Or try reinstalling the original software I would do this first. Most likely it is a memory module the way to test this is remove one of the chips and try starting the computer. If this continues place the one you removed back in the computer then pull the other one if it boots you have found your memory module that is bad if this is the issue, make sure that you have everything plugged in. SOURCE: Hi i have a gateway
The way to restore Gateways is to hold down the ALT Key andrepeatedly hitting f10 then it should bring you to a boot sequence screen thenchoose the HDD and then hold down ALT and repeatedly hit f10 again that shouldprompt the restore feature for gateway. If that doesn't work, the only way to doit is to boot into windows and run the Recovery program.
ALL DATA WILL BE ERASEDON YOUR HARD DRIVE IF YOU PROCEED. YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE THEPOWER ADAPTER PLUGGED IN. DO NOT SWITCH OFF OR RESTART YOUR COMPUTER DURINGTHIS PROCESS.
Hope this helps,
