Two chooses:

1) you bring it to a Dewalt service center and have them do it. They will give you an estimate up front with a five or ten dollar inspection fee.

2) disassemble the unit and look for the broken part. It should be fairly obvious once you take it apart. Total disassembly of the unit is the only way to find the problem piece. Use your diagram to ensure the correct reassembly and as a added measure you can take pics with a digital camera while taking it apart. Note getting the wire routing correct when reassembling the unit is the toughest part so, take pics or notes where the wires run.

I can not find my instructions for the Dewalt321 jigsaw so i therefore cannot replace a blade that fell out

Most Dewalt manuals are available here: https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Home . There are 40 Dewalt power tools with 321 in the model number. Several are jigsaws. There are two types for the DW321 (TO3PAK-2LE JIG SAW) jigsaw. Please look at the label on the jigsaw to ensure that you get the correct model and type. The direct link to the manual for the DW321 Type 1 is currently https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/GetDocument?docName=402086-01,DW321.pdf&productId=2841&productType=3001&documentId=24909&translatedFileName=http://documents.dewalt.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/402086-01,DW321.pdf .

To change the regular blade on the DW321 type 1, unplug the power tool. To remove the blade, pull the knob on the top of the jigsaw up about 1/4". Rotate the knob counterclockwise until the clamp opens. Do not force the knob after it stops. Insert the blade making sure that the back edge of the blade fits into the support roller. Rotate the knob clockwise until it clicks and then push it down.

I hope this helps.

any multi fit blade

You will need to remove the blade holder then the 4 screws that hold the front cover on. You can go to DeWalt's service site using the link below and view or print a parts diagram which will help.

How do I replace the blade on a dewalt xrp cordless jigsaw? I see no release lever or anything that allow the chuck to accept and hold the blade

Using the following link, you can enter your product model number in the Find Parts field and download the manual in PDF format. Information for the DC330K is on page 2 of its manual, if that's the model you have.
