Try setting the fan to medium, when you want less air blowing pull out on the ac button. Don't change fan setting. If your blower motor is starting to fail this will cause the motor to draw too much power blowing your fan fuse. If you want to get more life out of the motor do not set the fan switch above medium and it could last a lot longer. If you have the Extra money around $150.00 for the blower motor and at least that much again for the labor unless you DIY then you may choose to replace it I did this on My 91 Dodge B350 Xplorer Van Camper last august and it is still working.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

The heater/air conditioner blower only works on high speed if I try to lower the fan speed setting it turns off.

Most likely cause (common failure) is the blower motor resistor. On most caravans it is right behind the glove box with two 8mm head screws holding it in place

Heater fan only works on "high speed"

All cars are designed with a blower fan motor that pushes air through the ventilation system. This air is processed by a series of vents to direct the air to various positions. Example: heater, air conditioner and defrost modes. Most blower motors are power by a basic electrical circuit that utilizes a multi resistor or a solid-state resistor to control different fan speed modes (low, medium low, medium and high). If the resistor malfunctions it may lose one or more of the lower fan speed settings.

Car a/c heat blower stopped no warning

Check for a blown heater motor supply fuse,
Check operation of heater motor control relay,
Check operation of fan speed control switch,
Check heater motor speed control resistor pack (usually located in the heater ducting - in the air flow),
Check the heater motor runs if power directly applied to the motor- if not motor may be faulty.

91 explorer heater not blowing air

The blower motor is located under the hood on the passengers side next to the hood hinge on the firewall. But, check your blower motor resistor first. The resistor is usually the trouble maker. It is located next to the blower motor. It should have 2 screws holding it onto the heater housing. Also an electrical connector. I sincerely hope that this will get it working again. Best wishes to ya.

Where is the heater blower resistor located

Blower Motor Resistor
The four-speed operation of the blower motor is achieved through the blower motor resistor. The blower motor resistor is mounted under the A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the heater blower resister is in the heater plenum under the dash on the passenger side. the resister is in the air stream to keep it cooled. it has 2 screws holding it in and a 3 or 4 wire connector on it. easy repair. buy resister from tascaford.com for 25% off.
