Question about Philips Televison & Video
I am not familiar with this TV as it is one in a common room at my school. It does not have a remote. It has a power button in front and four buttons on top for changing channels and volume. I got frustrated with the TV because the menu kept popping up when I was changing channels. Somehow in my frustration, I hit something that caused it to lose most of it's channels. We only have 20 now and previously had 60. I tried to switch back to cable, but it doesn't help and actually gets rid of most of the channels we have by just being on the antenna option. Any ideas how to fix this? I'm very frustrated that I cannot watch the shows I like anymore.

SOURCE: pop up box appears periodically
try bringing up the menu, and see if there's an option "factory default", and try that. you didn't mention what button on the remote you press to get rid of the popup, or what feature you are turning off to get rid of the popup,

SOURCE: TV Snow and Static Sound
Sound like its all cabled wrong So its from the source, (wall satalight Whatever ) to VCR in then VCR out to TV, Now when the VCR fires up it tunes the RF output to Chanel 4 and has a strong signal, that over rides just about every thing. Simply way to stop this is one of two ways, press the TV/VCR button on the VCR, or simply turn off the VCR to let the signal pass through.

SOURCE: TV input
it is likely that your tv is interpreting a random button on your remote as a signal sent for it to change inputs, next time this happens turn the tv off and back on and note what comes up on the screen, for example video 1,
