Which is the measure of the capillary tube?? mi regfrigerator model is TFXW27F

Hello Roberto;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
Are you sure it is your capillary tube? If you found it broken, then you have lost your refrigerant. If you have found it broken, then you have a restriction in your seal system. In all of my years as a service technician I have never heard of a broken capillary tube.
A capillary tube is a short section of tubing 10-12" long. It is 1/16" in diameter with a sewing needle size hole through it. It is located coming off your evaporator coil in your freezer. On the one side of the capillary tube is 160 PSI of liquid refrigerant. The refrigerant passes through the capillary tube and transforms into 60 PSI of refrigerant vapor.
Don't give up. I am here to help you. Tell me more about what is happening, or better yet give me a call @ 443-306-1362.

Capillary tube

You can determine this by taking a numbered drill bit index and inserting the proper size diameter but end of the bit into the cap tube. You can then mic the butt end or cross reference to chart giving size of numbered drill bits. The length is also very important when sizing, cap tubes must be as close to exact length as possible. Also cap tubes must be scored with 3 corner file and broken off so as not to alter inside diameter.
Or you could use a cap tube chart. Try
Apply Freon type, compressor HP, temp range of unit, number of feeds.

Vt200 wine cooler needs a new capillary tube. Repairman needs to know the diameter and length. The diameter will be some degreenof a 100th of an inch.

The capilliary can be sized from the outside diameter, the repairman should have a guage to measure it this gives him the internal size from the outside diameter, the length only takes a tape rule, these are normally set to plus or minus 1 inch, so not too critical

Hope this helps

Yes I have a True 95 38 Beverage cooler and I bought it new 4 years ago , I have used it for 3 and 1 year it just sat not running , well I plugged it in the other day and it is only blowing warm inside and...

Could be many things... A bad thermostat, bad compressor, bad compressor start relay, refrigerant leak, moisture in the system, or even a blocked capillary tube. You would need a lot more information... mostly only the kind a technician can get by getting his hands on it. Sorry.

My older superior kegerator all of a sudden quit cooling, however it still runs and the fan runs. any thoughts? Is it junk or fixable?

It sounds like there is a freon loss or blockage. It is fixable. It might take a dryer change. Unplug the unit then look for this component
and once you locate it SMACK IT (several times) with the handles of 2 TWO screwdrivers! Sometimes these little buggers get clogged with something in the capillary end. Just make sure you do NOT hit the capillary tube itself.

If that does not succeed then there was probably a loss of system freon. The leak will have to be located / repaired (my bet at a compressor connection) the system pumped into a vacuum and reserviced with freon.

Ac capillary tubes

Sounds like you have a clogged cap tube. Yes they should both be sweating, I would expect your low side pressure to be lower though unless it is real hot in the camper. You can replace the tube but make sure what goes in is the same diameter and length because that is all engineered for proper metering into the evaporator.
