Can't get my beater off my KitchenAid 350 Watts mixer

The button does not retract, a bit of CRC may help combined with a lot of wriggling and grunting. Flour gets in there over time and builds up and makes the paddle tight. Rasp it out a bit in the hole, try not to remove metal, you just want to remove the buildup. If you had a bottle brush that fitted and cleaned it in there each time it will never happen again. Look how long it has taken so far.

Remove spring on beater shaft for cleaning

Normally you would not remove the spring for cleaning. It should not come in contact with any ingredients under normal operation. If you need to remove it you will need to punch the pin that holds it out using a suitable punch and hammer.

Have lost some oil out of it in moving, what oil

Hi. The oil you see used to be mixed into the grease base. It's time to change the grease in your mixer. Remove the silver band, Remove the top cover. Remove the transmission cover. Clean out the transmission, remove all grease and oil. Replace with Chevron FM ALC EP-2 grease. This grease is an edible food grade..

Remove the planetary gear, clean and re-grease. If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. ricardok45

I have a 20 qt Hobart Mixer. The magnet that is needed to allow the unit to run, is missing. We have used a store bought horseshoe style magnet for the last year or so, but does not work now. Do you...

the magnet is in the front gaurd. I suspect you have it taped on the back. looked behind the gaurd and you will see a small nut with a threaded stud looking thing in the neck of the mixer this is a electricl switch the magnet works. maybe your magnet is not ligned up on it or the switch is bad and you need a new one. the head is held on with 4 bolts onder the head is the switch and another switch for the bowl lift. . Best solution is have your front gaurd on and sliding corretly get a new magnet for it and it will lign up. If I cam and fixed it only way I would is with gaurd magnet. Can you tell I am factory trained and been drilled by Hobart lawyers many times. LOL never bypass a Saftey
One thing if mixer does not run at all it could be many things On/oof switch, Timer, bowl lift shwitch. Gaurd switch, realy that runse it in gaurd models. so be to be sure you need me LOL kidding. Good liuck

Age of a-200

There is a two letter code that translates to the month and year. You would need to call Hobart to translate. 1-937-332-3000

There are hints to the age, first two digit of the S/N is the factory. "11" are the older ones, spec vs ml on plate, type of power switch, bowl gaurd....

Mixer has just stopped

On the newer A200s, there is a reed switch behind the solid portion of the bowl gaurd. On the cage portion there is a magnet embedded in a plastic holder. Without it, the mixer won't run.
