hmm, sometimes i have to replug the cable otherwise it would stop wokring after working for a while, so that mean cable problem?

  • Vivian So Jun 22, 2009

thx, i switch cable and my printer is working fine now.

  • Vivian So Jun 22, 2009

i actually use a longer cable than previously though, cuz the previous set up i need a USB extension cord to hook it up to my laptop, once i switch to a cable directly plug to laptop it is fine

But i guess the trouble is really on the previous cable. it started printing, then printer didn't respond no matter i restarted the printer or replug the cable. it was like it would be my luck if it worked

Now with the new cable it is fine

Canon Canoscan LiDE 25 shows "USB device not recognized" on Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Point # 1 : Electronic devices are not made to be used sparingly or stored for long periods of time.

Point # 2 : 5-6 years is not 'barely' in-terms of an electronic device's lifetime (Given that the warranty for your device is about 1 year !).

Point # 3 : You obviously tried almost everything on the computer site of this issue, Its time to take your device to a service center.

Canon Pixma ip5200 under Windows 7 - not responding

Did you download the latest drivers from the website? It looks like they were posted this month. I would report the issue. It is quite likely there is a compatibility issue. Have you contacted canon at all about this problem? Once I have more information I can try and assist you further.
Thank you,
Lee

Vista is your problem. Solution...buy an inexpensive card reader to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can send the pics to your photo editing software.

Hello,
The printer drivers must be installed on each computer. If computer A runs XP, you must install driver for XP on computert A; If machine B runs Vista, then you must install printer drivers for Vista on machine B.

Hope it helps.

Hello
This can be due to a feeder wrong setting on the printer or on your PC: your printer tries to take paper from the back feeder, whereas your paper is on the front feeder....
try to check these settings in your PC and on your printer, and retry to print, hoping this helps
