Take the hard drive out of the dead computer and install it as a slave in the working one, if the hard drive still functions you will be able to drag and drop files from one hdd to the other. usb is WAY to slow to move large files.

well if you can boot with a bootable cd, the hard drive should be fine. its more than likely your boot sector or your bios thats corrupted. you COULD try to flash the bios...it's kind of a tricky procedure but that my solve your problem. If you install the hard drive as a slave, there should be a jumper pin on the back of the drive and a diagram as to which way to position it for slave or master. you want to connect it as slave. use your working comp to google how to install a slave hard drive and you should find some detailed instructions on how to configure it.

One of these ought to work:
  1. Remove SD card, connect to PC using a card reader (and adapter if needed), copy files to PC. Connect a larger capacity SD card to PC, copy files from PC to new, larger SD card, install new SD card in phone.
  2. Connect phone to PC with USB cable, then do same process as above.
  3. Back up phone to Google, Samsung, or other cloud resource. Replace SD card with larger one. Restore phone from cloud.

Cant get usb data cable to work

As long as you have a memory card installed in your phone, you should have no problem. Use a micro SD card of no larger than 4 GB. Attach the cable to your phone and computer via an available usb port. Your pc will then recognize your memory card as a mass storage device, and you cn drag and drop your files to and from the computer.Make sure your phone usb connection is set to mass storage.

I can't transfer pictures from my computer to my digital frame. When I connect my usb cable to my computer from my digital frame , the frame displays "Connected to computer. Use PC interface to copy files....

You can start copying pictures to SV811 digital picture frame if you get the message “Use PC interface to copy files.” Here are the steps:

Copy pictures, videos, and music between your frame and computer, using your computer's normal file copying tools:

1. Connect the USB cable from the frame to your computer
2. On your computer, open My Computer or Windows Explorer.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

3. Navigate to the pictures you want to copy. Then drag and drop them to the new location.
4. Unplug the USB cable to view your copied pictures.

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:

1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw )
2. Connect the USB cable.
3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.
4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

5. Select the frame source to which you are copying.
6. Select Best for Digital Picture Frame to reduce the resolution of the pictures you are copying. Full resolution is unnecessary and quickly fills up the frame's memory.
7. Click Copy. Pictures are copied to your frame.
8. Unplug the USB cable and press “Home” icon to navigate to your copied pictures.
