SOURCE: EPSON PRINTERS how to replace inks in epson DX 7450

You must surely have sorted this one out by now Doris! However, if you haven't, how to change print cartridges on a DX7450 is very clearly explained in the user handbook (on the CD that came with your printer). Insert the CD and select "Custom Install" then "Users Guide". Once its installed, double click the new Epson Icon on your screen and selct "Printing" then "Replacing Ink Cartridges". If you don't have a CD, download the User's Guide from the Epson website at http://www.epson.com - just choose your locale, then select Get Drivers and Support - Printers.

SOURCE: Epson DX7450 won t charge ink

In some cases the chip on the cartridge will work for multiple models but this doesn't always mean that ALL cartridge colours will be the same.

It sounds like you either have the wrong magenta type or you have a cartridge which is incompatible. I'd look for a supplier that can confirm 100% that they have the correct chip for your printer and try that.

I should warn you that you may find that fixing the magenta provides you with a warning on a different cartridge as sometimes the chips interact with the printer in rather odd ways that give false positives or error indicators.. So be prepared.

Hope this helps somewhat.

HP Color LaserJet 3800 dtn printer. Error message says 49.4C06 Service Error

49.XXXXX ERROR A critical firmware error has occurred.

If the message persists with different programs and print jobs, turn the printer off.
Remove all memory DIMMs or thirdparty DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in the lower slot J1).
Remove the printer EIO card.
Turn the printer on.
If the error does not persist, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time.
Turn the printer off and then on again after installing each device.
Replace DIMMs and EIO devices as necessary.
If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM.
If the error persists, replace the formatter and calibrate the printer.

Hp color laserjet 3000dn getting 49.2 FC6 service error. not printing magenta. got new magenta toner - did not resolve. please advise

Any 49.xxxxx error is a critical firmware error
If power cycling the printer doesn't clear the error, try printing from a different program.
If it works, go back to the job that failed. Print. If the error comes back, that program is hosed.

If the error persists remove the network cable and any cable that goes to the computer.
Remove the JetDirect. Power on. If error is gone, power down and reinstall the JetDirect. Power up. If error is gone, chalk it up to reseating. If error comes back...replace the JetDirect.

If the error continues with the JetDirect removed, there could be a bad memory DIMM or formatter.

Good Luck

Error 79.00FE

Hi,

In order to fix the 79.00FE printer error, first you have to print a configuration page. Then remove the jet direct and power on while holding the go button down on the printer. After display reads offline, the reset process is complete. After the cold reset, remove the jet direct card and see if the 79.00FE error goes away. If the 79.00FE error appears before a job is sent then it may be the DIMMS, try removing them to see if the error persists.

It says a printer error has occured. If you turn off and start again nothing happens

• To resolve this issue remove the cartridges and then the printhead (To remove the printhead: Upon removing the cartridges push the small grey tab upwards.)
• Remove power
• Please now check for any objects or paper that might be obstructing the movement of the printer carriage - if any are found please remove them
• Wait 5-7 minutes
• Reinsert power
• Reinsert printhead (When inserting the Printhead please ensure that you hear it click into place)
• Then re-insert cartridges, black first then colour. Please also ensure that you hear them clip into place
• If the error persists, please advise us on where the error appears and what the exact wording of the error is along with any error lights.

My printer has an error code: 49.3C1A Service Do you know what that means?

Hello my friend, try this.

Check the printer queue and delete the file(s) with the
error. Wait until it show that it was cleared. Turn off the printer and remove the network cable. Turn on the printer to see if the error is removed. If so, turn the printer off and reconnect the cable and turn back on. Reprint the file that had the error. If you get the error again, the file is corrupted or there is something about the file that the printer does not understand.

If the error is not removed after the above procedure, there could be a hardware issue. Remove the JD card and any hard disk and power back on to see if you still get the error. If so, and with both the JD and HD removed, do a cold reset.
