Can't turn my "Dot-it" linear swivel light off

I have tried tapping, brushing my finger tips across and holding my finger directly on the "on-off" sensors. I cannot turn this off. Help, please!

Some possibilities:
- Ultraviolet damage from the sun (many synthetics will last forever if not exposed to UV)
- Cigarette smoke. - Hair spray.
Look for a shop that does auto reupholstery; they should have the necessary means to replace the disintegrating stitching.

hi we had the same problem with our p&t sports buggy, brand new out of the box the front wheel kept locking, driving me mad! we contacted our supplier, kiddicare.com, who were extremely helpful and sent out a "front wheel swivel/fixed catch (screw fixing)" - it has WORKED WONDERS! the buggy is now smooth and easy to handle. you have to remove the old catch pin which can be a bit of a fiddle (when we got the old pin out it was a rivet fixing and very rusty) but only took us 10 minutes. highly recommended if you can get hold of one of these new screw fix pins, which have obviously been brought out to fix a common fault which p&t can't be bothered to recall lots of buggies and fix themselves...... ;)"

I've made contact with the store I've bought my e3 from, now, waiting to hear from them about this 'fix screw'. hopefully it'll solve our probs!
Good luck

I had to completely dismantle my dremel because both brushes were stuck. Had to basically break them apart because they were seized solid in there.

It turned on and said touch dot several times now the screen is off center

Turn off Garmin. Pres top left screen and hold. While holding, turn unit on but keep holding corner. Once the black dot shows up again, use the eraser part of a pencil to chase the dot. That would give exact measurements. Your fingers may be wet or too large and are offsetting the screen area readings. Good Luck

Bike wont start just quit working one day it doesnt try to turn over battery is good and holding voltage, have checked all fuses, starter relay, kill switch, ran up and down that bike with a volt meter...

Push the starter button if your hear the solenoid clicking the starter button is good. If there is no click from the solenoid you may need to clean or replace the starter button.Follow the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid. Jump across the two cable terminals, this should activate the starter. If the starter works now you have burnt contacts inside the solenoid. replace the solenoid. If the starter does not turn over, try again tapping on the starter with a plastic hammer if the starter works now you need starter brushes. If the starter will not turn over with direct power (bench test) and the brushes are good the armature is probably shorted. You will have to replace the starter as an assembly parts are not available to rebuild the starter.

Hi\ dyna glo mod.rmc fa 50a,50.when you fire it up,you have to continue to hold the dial in. when you try to turn it to low-to hi it goes out. [like a bad thermocoupler ?]

Could be a bad thermocouple, but more than likely it needs a good interior cleaning. Especially the pilot assembly and the ODS (Oxygen Depletion Sensor). Cleaning will require that you remove the front of the cabinet to access all of the interior. Use a vacuum with a hose brush attachment to clean the interior of the cabinet (you'll probably find a lot of dust and lint). Using canned compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean a computer with) quickly blow out the pilot tip (where the pilot flame comes out), then look down the pilot from the tip where the flame comes out and you'll see a small hole in the side of the pilot. That is the ODS sensor. Place the straw nozzle tip just inside of the hole (do not turn the can upside down Try to keep it upright as much as possible) and give it a quick blast of air. You may be surprised as to what comes out the other side. If you have a "Stand alone" thermocouple that sticks up right in front of the pilot tip, wipe that thoroughly with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol. Remove any cotton fibers that may stick to the thermocouple. Now, trace the wire from the thermocouple to where it screws into to the gas control valve. With your fingers, try to loosen the nut. If you can, it's loose and not making a connection. Re-tighten it with your fingers and with an appropriate sized wrench, turn it only a 1/4 turn more. Reassemble the heater cabinet and try relighting the pilot. Hold the pilot control knob in for at least a minute and release slowly. If the pilot light holds, you're back in business. If it doesn't hold, wait at least one minute and try again. If it still doesn't hold, you'll need a new thermocouple. Which you can order from the manufacturer.

Good luck!

Power brush keeps going off and on ,when off i keep pressing red button and switches on ...stays on if you keep it up slightly and not fully down

Just had the same problem. Took apart whole power head to look for broken wire and found none. If you see part way up the hose there is a coller with 4 torx screws holding together. This collar is a swivel that allows the hose to spin without twisting or kinking. Take the 4 screws out and open up. You will see 3 contacts that look like fingers that rub on 3 mating steel rings. Wipe the tips of the fingers and wipe clean the rings. Gently bend the fingers out wards so that they apply more pressure to the steel rings. Reassemble and try. Should take no more than 15 mins. Worked for me good luck!

Unable to unlock Nuvi 780 screen. The slideing button on the top left dosen't work, it lost the grip and just move on either direction with out any action. Please help

Try to remove the battery and re insert it back in to see if it will work. Or hold down the power on/off for about 15 seconds, that should do the job.

If that does not do it, then you have to calibrate the screen. To calibrate the screen, follow the steps below:
  1. Turn off your nuvi,
  2. Press your finger on the upper left corner of the touch screen,
  3. While holding your finger on the touch screen, turn on the nuvi.
  4. Continue to hold your finger on the screen for about 30 seconds until the calibration screen appears(white screen with touch dot),
  5. Then follow the on screen instructions.
That should do the job for you. hope this helps.

How do I repalce the belt on Dirt Devil Swivel Glide upright vac?

Four screws hold the bottom plate in place. Turn the vac upside down and remove the screws that hold the cover(bottom plate) over the brush roll in place. Remove the plate and you are there.

Mig replace tip

Pull off the extreme outer nozzle of the MIG gun. Clean the inside of this nozzle with MIG pliers or round wire brush. Unscrew the welding tip. (If it is stuck, try using a pair of pliers lightly). Clean the entire area with a regular wire brush. Screw on the new tip finger tight, but snug. Replace the outer nozzle.

Have you tried performing a soft reset by pressing the reset button on the back of the unit, then turning it on again?

How about a hard reset?

With the unit powered off, hold your finger on the upper right- hand corner of the touch screen and tap the power key. Continue to hold your finger on the screen until you get a warning message. Tap "OK" to reboot the GPS.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
