Can you describe the concern better? Is the transparency stuck inside the blades? Did it shut off the overload switch.

I assume you pushed the switch to reverse the blades to remove the transparency. You can assist this process by using a pair of pliers by grabbing the transparency and gently pulling while you reverse the blades. I have gone forward and backwards a couple of times when I put in credit cards that stopped the shredder.

SOURCE: Fellowes crosscut shredder does not shut off

Best to use the alcohol/cotton swab recommendation. When I first called Fellowes about cleaning the sensor, they told me never to spray compressed air into the shredder throat, but without much explanation. Later I discovered that the instructions on some of the compressed air cans specifically warn against using them to clear shredder sensors, as the flammable accelerant can leak out when the can is held at an angle and possibly ignite if a spark is generated by the machine.
This link will take you to the Fellowes FAQ page:
http://fellowes.com/fellowes/site/support/support_troubleshooting.aspx#dm12c

On the page click on "How do I clean the sensors on my (model) shredder."  I depart a bit from the instructions in that I don't replace the two screws on the throat guide. That way, I can simply slide the media guide toward the front of the machine, lift up the throat guide and do my cleaning. Much faster and, in my opinion, not having the throat guide screws in does not seem to pose much of a safety issue.

SOURCE: fellowes 3011001 shredder stopped shredding. tried

First, try switching to reverse, alot of times, stuck paper will come back out in reverse. Then unplug the unit, turn the head upside down and with a small flathead screwdriver, knife, or tweezers, dig out pieces of paper. It takes alot of effort but by digging small pieces out, a little at a time, you can get most of the paper free.

SOURCE: we have a Fellowes Powershred C-220C and the

Only if you are mechanically handy and know how to take a part. Most of these shredder's sensors are PLASTIC and break EASILY. I should know, I had to take apart my wife's shredder.

I had to bypass the sensor and rewire it. It can be done if you know what you are doing. If not, don't try it

In your case I would unscrew the top assembly. Than I would use a can of canned air to clean out the sensor eye. Than I would use tweezers to pull out all specks of paper I could find.

Your best bet is to try to return it for a replacement.

SOURCE: No longer shreds. Probably overloaded. Looking

The punching holes/not shredding problem is caused by a collar that encapsulates the cutter shaft ends. Vibration causes the collar to fall off and the shafts to spread apart. The fix is to pull the paper bin out, remove the 5 screws holding the top assy., and pull off the top. You'll see the collar and the screws will be somewhere in the paper. Replace the collar and tighten all the screws at each end of the shredder assy.

What maintenance do I need to do to dm12c shredder

Periodically run lubricating sheets through the machine. This will oil the knives and gear assembly. The second alternative is to drizzle some shredder lubrication oil into the paper feed slot. It does thr same thing but is messier. When you empty the basket, check for any jammed paper in the cutters. Unplug and remove.

Oil Used WD-40

A gear is probably stripped. Fellowes sells gears for some of their shredders, but gear replacement is a messy job! Oiling it will not usually fix the problem; you need to contact Fellowes directly.

I used WD-40 just once. How can I know if I damaged it completely?

WD-40 probably hasn't killed it, most of it will evaporate in time. It can cause the shredder to get gummed up with little paper particles so you might need to clean it out with some compressed air. I wouldn't use any sprays on a shredder unless Fellowes recommends it.

Put xrays transparency (once) The shredder is stuck, gears don't move

First - did you reverse it? If that didn't work, unplug the shreader , trun the cutter head over and use a pair of tweezers to pull out the stuck pieces. You may have to turn -forward & reverse - a fe times.

Runs reverse auto

From your manual!

In case of a paper jam , which may occur if the shredder is pushed beyond its specified capabilities, press the control switch to the off [O] position and empty the basket if full. Then:
1) Press and hold control switch in reverse [R] position and attempt to back paper out of shredder.
2) If shredder jams in reverse mode, press control switch to automatic [I] position and attempt to continue shredding operation.
3) If shredder jams again, alternate control switch slowly between reverse [R] and automatic [I] positions to attempt to move jammed paper completely through shredder.
If you are unable to clear the jam using this method, turn off and unplug the shredder; remove the wastebasket from cabinet and carefully remove any paper extending below the cutting cylinders; empty the waste basket; insert waste basket and repeat jam clearing procedure.

Random Running

I had the same problem with a DM12C  It would start running by itself at random times. Eventually it ran continuously. Fellowes knows about this problem and if you talk to their customer care people nicely (not email) they will take care of you even if out of warranty.

Fellowes crosscut shredder does not shut off

I got an email from Fellowes technical support suggesting I use alcohol and a cotton swab on the sensors after unplugging it. That fixed my problem.
