If you need a new drum. Follow the instructions below.

Ordered drum from Sears parts. 3045EL1002D
Cost of 85$ + 15 to ship. It came in 5 days.

Here is how to do it on a DLE2514W. Takes about an hour. I only used a phillips screw

driver. Take your time and look over the situation. I hope that I rememberd

everything. Good luck.

How can I get access to the thermal fuse in a

I believe tumble dryers have 3 thermostat fuses, they look like silver buttons, one on the back panel in the middle of the heating elliment, one in the ducting box for extraction and one somewhere else..I think.

tumble dryers are very empty inside, as long as its unplugged (I\'m an idiot.. 1 time) remove the back plate and have a look, if you need to unclip the wires inside to remove the panel, take photos so you know where they go back

Just brought a GVA 4kg dryer and it won't tumble?

Hello Linda, You didn't say if this dryer is brand new or used. If it is new, it should have some sort of warranty. If it is used, the most common cause for it not to tumble is the drum belt is either broken or off of the motor pulley.

One of the "fins" inside the dryer is coming off and just needs to be tightened but I cant figure out how to get to the drum to tighten the screw.

The top cover needs to be lifted to the rear of the dryer to access the outside of the drum, but you have to remove the front panel first. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Open the dryer door and remove the four screws located vertically along the inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to the front shroud assembly.

Once the four screws are removed, grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.

The top cover is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each bracket.

Swing the bracket to the outside and unhook it from the slot in the top cover lip.

Open the door then lift the front of the top cover and tilt it toward the rear of the dryer. The baffles securing screws can now be re-tightened. Reinstall the top cover and the front panel by following the removal steps in reverse order.

Is it possible to mount the unit upside down on wall brackets, and of course, the dryer still operates satisfactorily? As there does not appear to have pressed openings on the rear panel for bracket...

Hi Don.

All appliances must be installed, used, and also transported and stored with the top side up.

If the dryer is turned upside down the weight of the drum, motor and other parts will not be sustained anymore by the rollers and other structural parts located inside the appliance.
The dryer will start, but it will break down after a short usage.

There are also other safety issues involved.

The dryer cannot be installed upside down.

Regards.
