I think my screen needs calibration. i left under the hot sun and the screen is impossible to click the right choice especially the upper part of the screen . please help

i would say you will need more than calibration , you will probably need a new touch screen. The hot sun has probably distorted the touch screen which is why it no longer responds correctly

I want to remove a Garmin Dashboard Disk without damage to my vehicle

Remove it when it's warm. Either let it sit in the sun, or use a hair blower.

Nuvi 650 touch screen stopped working

My Garmin Nuvi 650 would boot up and load maps, but I could not enter my access code. Screen would not respond. Turned off & on a number of times, but still same problem. This occurred on first use after upgrading the maps. Thinking it may have overheated on the dashboard of my truck, I held the device in front of the air conditioner vent for about five minutes to cool it down. When I then turned it on, it worked fine. For the rest of my 3-week vacation, I kept it cool & out of the sun when it was not turned on. No problems after that.

Magellan Maestro 4250 GPS, the display seems to wash out on sunny days so that it is unreadable. That's without direct sunlight on the unit. Can anything be done or adjusted?

The Magellan 4250 LCD display brightness settings does not do much. I can understand how annoying it is to have the sun's glare on the display making it unreadable. You can improvise a simple sun shade like i did, cut and fit a card board strip on top of your GPS unit to block out the sun glare. It's just simple and cheap solution.

My Garmin Quest displays...detail maps don't support routing. The position of my vehicle is shown slightly to the left of the roads I am driving on.

May be zoomed in to close, could be that the antenna is not receiving good satellite signals, some windshields have metal to lower sun energy and this can affect reception. Try external antenna.....

Where on the windshield should I mount my Garmin?

you can put it anywhere you want as long as it is not obstructing your view. most people prefer the middle but close to the dashboard or to the left side of the windshield. bill

Sticking my nuvi 260W to windshield - after a few days often in sun [winter/spring Mass.] thesuction cup mount falls of to dashboard- risking damage to nuvi. advice? without having to use permanent...

Here is what I do. I clean the spot on the windshield very good with Windex or another good window cleaner. I also clean the suction cup surface while I am doing the windshield. Next I place the GPS next to the Rearview Mirror. and connect the suction cup. Then I take the power cord and use it to tie a knot around the suction cup mount and then I loop it around the Rearview mirrow twice leaving no slack between the GPS and the Mirror. Be sure to not block you view in the mirror. If the GPS come loose from the windshield it will just fall far enough for the power cable to catch it and will just be swiing there instead of falling to the dashboard or floor. This is kind of a Mickey Mouse way to do things but it works.

Sometimes heat in a car if left in can cause sun to over heat LCD screen.
