This is typically due to the Page Settings having inadequate margins set. Try to enter 0.1 for Top, Left, Right, Bottom margins (it may override your entry with the Printers true minimum settings that's ok).
Web site designers create Web pages for display on a monitor, not for
users to print on 8.5- x 11-inch pieces of paper. This becomes obvious
the first time you try to print a Web page. Content you need may get
chopped off by the right printer margin, whereas content you don’t
need, such as the site’s copyright information, will print on its own
sheet of paper. Fortunately, you can avoid such problems with a little
foresight.
Before printing any Web page, open Internet
Explorer’s File menu and select Print Preview. The current Web page
will appear on-screen exactly as it will print on paper. Scan the
preview carefully. If it appears that some content is chopped off by
the right margin, click the Page Setup button located directly to the
right of the Print button in the upper-left corner of the Print Preview
window. In the resulting Page Setup dialog box, adjust the left and
right margins so that each is set to 0.25 inches. The extra inch of
space you gain by resetting the margins should provide just enough room
to accommodate all of the content on most sites. Click OK to save the
changes and return to the Print Preview window.
Next, scan the
preview to determine which pages contain the content you want to print.
Take note of those pages and click the Print button in the upper-left
corner of the Print Preview window. Locate the Print Range heading and
select the Pages option. Type the number of the first page you want to
print in the From field and type the number of the last page you want
to print in the To field. For instance, if you want to print just the
first three pages of a Web page’s content, type 1 in the From field and
type 3 in the To field. If your browser doesn’t have To and From
fields, type the range of pages (such as 1-3) in the corresponding
field. Make sure your printer has paper and click Print.
half page? just half top page (top-bottom), or left and right. If just left half page, set page setup as actually paper wide that inserted. because, if actually paper wide is smaller than page setup, some epson printer jsut print half. before starting printing, the paper sensor measure paper wide first.
Dear, it is due to the default margin for your printer settings, the printer is not printing outside that, you need to check the printer preferences to set the margin for printing. In this way you can resolve your problem.
Set the roll size to 44 inch, set your left margin to 0 (in your preprint software), experiment. With margins set at 0, using Onyx Productionhouse 7.3, the 9800 will print approx 41.8 inch image on 42 inch roll 43.8 on 44, etc. This is considered borderless printing. No matter what size roll you tell the printer it has in it, it will print to about an eighth to a sixteenth of an inch short of the paper's actual edge (that's the left side of the roll paper coming out of the printer - the right side of the print). If you load, for example, a 36 inch roll, tell the printer its a 44 inch roll, and send a 40 inch wide print, with a left margin of 0 it will print around 35.8 inches, cutting off the image just before it would overprint and get ink on the machine (1/8 - 1/16inch before the edge of your 36 inch stock). It is possible that these tollerances will be different depending on what software you send your images with... hope this helps!
Another post suggests that you printer is dead -see (http://www.fixya.com/support/t354202-epsom_rx_425_just_prints_half_page) but I've had the same problem - things seem to be ok after I reset to the defaults in the main page of the printing preferences.
create a word template document with the page size the same size as the label. Set the margins to 0 and fill the label up with text. This should make the printer print right the way over the bale.
