it wont print anything at all and there is plenty of ink in the cartridges and i have checked all the leads usb cables

Well you might be facing issues with your printer drivers.Go ahead and check in the printers window in the control panel for any queued documents.If yes delete them and try printing.it should work.If you want any further support, an online technician from techbuddies can help you for free.For this log on to http://tinyurl.com/m7ghqz
