Re: use my desk top mic as a p.a system on my laptop

Its possible your mic is on mute so no sound gets throught.
check the speaker icon next to your clock

if you dont see microphone there then click on properties and settings and then on playback. Then make sure the microphone has a X next to it below.

then press ok and check settings

press settings and then properties and click on recording. then ok. then make sure the microphone is not muted and the sound level is high enought.

I have a panasonic sa-ak58 sterio system and woud like to pug my mic into it. how do i do so

You would need to buy a small mixing desk which would plug into the AUX input at the back of your Stereo. Your microphone would plug into the Mixing desk.
Good luck. Michael

Microphone stand

this confused me too! if you havn't figured it out already there is an adaptor screwed into the mic clip to work with standard mic stand mounts. in order for it to fit on the desk stand that comes with it, you have to to first unscrew the adaptor sitting inside the barrel of the mic clip. then it will be the right size to screw onto the stand.

I have connected the samson mic to my computer. input not detecte

A condenser mic. requires "phantom power" usually supplied by a mixing desk. Without this, there will be no output signal from the mic.

I bought the superlux DRK-A3C2 for drums and used once in about in year but I tried to used them now...two of them not working...I don't know what might be the problem?

Is it the two overhead mics (PRA 268AGH I believe) which don't work?
If so, you have to remember that these ones are condenser mics, which require a phantom power supply from your mixing desk, the others are cardoids which work without phantom power.
Hope this helps?

How tointerface an audio technica mb 4k to computer

As long as the microphone is getting power (via a seperate phantom power unit, or using batteries, the MB 4k can use AA) you should be able to plug into a computer with no trouble, as long as a couple other things are set. You'll need two things in addition to your mic and battery.
1) You need an adapter to go from XLR to 1/8". Go to and search for "XLR to 1/8". They are around $10.
2) Your computer must have a "mic" level input. It is probably a red connector. If your computer only has a "line" level input (probably blue), then you will have to use the mixer, or some in between unit to up the output of the mic to line level.
Not sure why your mr8 is outputting so low. Make sure you have phantom power turned on.
Best of luck!
