I am having the same problem. Other articles are explaining other models, not the rive which takes the r-cup. I believe this one was forced when the used cup resivoir was full. There is a mechanism that might be replaceable for a fraction of the cost of a new one. But not having any luck finding a part number yet.

For anyone else still trying to solve this like I was - the problem was that if you push the loading handle down too hard while the cup is stuck (like when the catch pan is full of used cups), it misaligns the handle with respect to the carriage. Just open it all the way, and apply firm pressure to keep opening the lever, and it will re-align it. It will feel like you're stretching it out, but don't worry.

This just happened to me this morning. There was a pod stuck and I tried pushing down on the pump really hard...not knowing a pod was stuck. This must have misaligned the handle. I did exactly what Patrick's instructions where above and it worked perfectly and fixed the problem. Thank you!

Patrick saved my life (no coffee = no life)!!!

Happened to me just as Paige wrote. I pushed the handle up slowly and bent it back into position. I was a bit afraid I was going to break it. I think I pushed a little too much because now the handle is not flush with the top of the machine when after I close it. Hint: don't push back all the way and test it until a cup punctures and the handle is flush with the top. Also empty the cup reservoir often enough! All in all the machine works just fine. I can live with the handle not flush when closed. Thanks Patrick.

Just push the cup firmly down onto the lower needle before closing the "clamshell" and puncturing the lid of the K-cup also. Read the attached link, other people have this problem.
2nd link explains problem very well.

The seal is too thin. Install a faucet washer on the top needle above the factory seal. Remove the factory seal (slides off the needle). Install the faucet washer and replace the factory seal. My machine leaked all over until I did this. Works Great!

When I use a Kcup NOT made by Keurig, in my Mr. Coffee, I get only water. No punch on bottom of K-cup.

Call Keurig @ 1 (866) 901-2739. The Companies to most of your products, are generally very good in helping you with issues. Best regards!

Coffee won't pass through pod

the K-cup is punctured at the top and at the bottom.
you can take a corkscrew, and puncture a number of holes in the bottom of the K-Cup... verify there is a hole at the top... just before you start to brew... press down on the black arm over the cup... but not too hard...Lets see what happens... if it all looks good... no problems... then we need to either adjust the arm... or shim the k-Cup up a little bit...
you may also check the rubber Seal around the top pin that punctures the K-cup...
sounds like you lost your rubber seal around the top of the K-cup...

you can re-phrase after looking and testing....

Unit will not brew when pod is inserted; works w/o pod however.

This may be one of two issues:
1. The pump is malfunctioning which can cause the internal reservior to not completely fill which causes issues during brewing. My unit dribbled random amounts of water instead of brewing for about a week before the pump died completely.
2. The puncture seal isn't in the right position. Open the Keurig fully so you can see the sharp puncture pin. Very Carefully push the black rubber gasket around it all the way up. Then pull it back down about 1/16". Brew a cup, if the problem continues, try sliding the gasket further down by increments of 1/32".
