Question about Epson WorkForce WF-3540 All-in-One Printer with AirPrint

Print Job Keeps Cancelling

Everytime I print something and set the quality to something higher than "Standard" the print job cancels mid print. If I lower the quality to "standard" or lower, the print job completes. I do not have anything in my print queue at the time either.

"I have printed high resolution files from my computers in the past. This is a recent error. Driver is updated, Firmware is updated. I am having this issue from two separate computers on the same network. Printer is hooked up to my wireless router via bluetooth. I have started and stopped the spooler as Epson suggested. And as far as my computer capabilities, there should be no issue with printing a high resolution file: 3.30 GHz AMD FX 6100 six-core processor 16 GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) AMD Radeon HD 6900 GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3"

Hmmm, interesting you def. shoud not have resolution prob. with that set up I agree. I was wondering if it were possible to try another cartridge. Sounds wierd but may be worth a try the worse thing is you would have an extra bit of toner and wouldn't have to go buy anymore. It has to be I agree the printer if the thing acts the same with two different comp. Sorry only thing I can think of at the moment is the cartridge or a mechanical issue. I'll keep trying to see what I can come up with but please keep me posted if you find it.

Ok , I may have something and it makes sense you may need to do a Nozzel cleaning I don't know if you have done that yet but if changing the ink cartridge didn't do the trick and you have been printing a lot the manual ( I don't know if you still have yours or not so here is a link to the manual, http://www.manualslib.com/manual/415488/... Print Quality Problems .

Your computer may not be able to provide that high of a resolution to the printer. It would be like trying to take a color picture with black and white film.

Have a print job in the printer that i want to cancel. have unplugged the machine from the network, unplugged the machine from power. when i turn power back on, it start printing 500 page job that i do not...

Press the [PRINT MONITOR] key in the lower right corner of display. If fascimile option is also installed, it would say [SYSTEM MONITOR] key in same location. Anyways, after in print monitor screen, select the job that you want to cancel and press [CANCEL] key. Press [YES] to cancel. Press [DONE]. You might want to pull out all of the paper trays so the machine can't print while cancelling documents. Let me know.

Won't print, takes paper in, and sits blinking

I've seen this when the image has been too big - i.e. Too many megabytes. But it has to be really big 300+ MB in size.
Some times, cancelling the job, shutting the computer down and restarting it can make the print come out as the computer restarts. Doesn't always happen though. Try without cancelling the job and see if that works.
Let us know either way.

Strange problem, but try this:
  1. Open Task Manager
  2. File > New Task (Run...)
  3. type "control printers"
That should take you to the Printers folder in the control panel. Hope this helps! Thanks!

Unable to cancel print queue

You can cancel a print job from within Windows by going to Control Panel -> Printers and double-clicking on the appropriate printer. Right-click the print job you want to cancel and select Cancel from the context menu. Anything already sent to the printer will continue to print.

You can also cancel a print job from the printer by pressing Cancel on the control panel. This applies to whatever is currently printing.
(You may want to remove any paper from the paper tray first.)

Clicking the cancel print icon stops the job from continuing to spool, but whatever is still in the printer's memory will continue to print until exhaused or the job is cancelled from the printer's control panel.

I have (4) documents to print, but it won't print. It says: 4 document(s) pending owner

To cancel a print job in Windows you can use one of the following two methods:

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB WITH THE PROGRESS METER:
When you send a print job to the printer, the Status Monitor will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Another printer icon for the PROGRESS METER will also appear in the taskbar while printing is taking place. This PROGRESS METER is there so you can manage print priorities or cancel print jobs.

1. Highlight the print job in the PROGRESS METER box.
2. Click on DOCUMENT and CANCEL, or, right click on the job name and left click CANCEL or DELETE.
3. Confirm cancelling the print job.

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB FROM THE PRINTERS WINDOW:
If no PROGRESS METER appears, you can access the document queue in this fashion:

1. Open START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS (START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS and FAXES in Windows XP).
2. Right click on your Epson printer name, left click PURGE PRINT JOBS (98,ME), or CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS (2000,XP). (Or, double-click on the printer name to see and modify the status of documents in queue.)
3. Confirm cancelling all documents.

Keep in mind that once information has been sent to the printer it resides in the spooling folders within Windows. It may a while for printing to stop as this data clears the system.

If the printer continues to print (ie multiple copies of a cancelled job, or garbled print) remove the rest of the paper from the printer and allow it to run out. Once an "out of paper" type error appears on your screen, cancel the documents. Once all print job information has deleted, reload the paper and press the paper feed button once to clear the red light and return the printer to a ready state.
