Cover the edge of the crust with foil and bake at 350F until the crust is golden brown, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

2 hours ago I baked a double crusted vegetable pie (in a glass pie pan)... BUT I can't eat it & need to freeze it.

Wrap it in two layers of clingfilm and then two layers of foil making sure to fold down all the edges making it airtight. Freeze it as fast as you can in the coldest part of the freezer. We remove the ice trays which is where the blower is. Date it and label it and eat within 6 months. Defrost in the fridge for 24 hours and reheat in the oven to an internal temperature of 165'F.

How do I bake a frozen fruit pie that has thawed

Preheat your oven to 25 degrees lower than the package says. Then take a long strip of foil and cover just the edges of the pie( like a halo). The thawed edges will bake so much faster than the rest of the pie. Then bake it as usual. Just check it every 20 minutes or so. Everyone's oven is different.

What is chicken pot pie?

A chicken pot pie is a savory pie made with chicken that has a flaky crust on the top and bottom. Because this crust is not as strong as other kinds of crusts, the pie is usally baked inside a pan.

I made an apple pie and froze it. How do I bake it now?

Bake it, frozen, at 350F. Keep an eye on it, let it cook until the juice comes out the holes in the top crust, cover the edges with foil if they're getting too brown.

It'll take close to an hour, stick with it and it'll be nice.

Don't thaw it before putting it in the oven, it'll make the crust gummy.

Bread settles down wile baking.

Bread deflating or baking sunken in with a crater ridge around the top usually means too much liquid or sugar.  Try the same recipe by reducing the liquid by 2 tablespoons.  If dough appears like pie crust dough, add teaspoon of liquid down the side of the dough and observe. Add another if necessary.  Humidity and temperature affect the dough and its behavior  Do not dispair if a recipe that has been tried and true suddenly does not "work."

While mixing pie crust is the blade to be removed from the bowl or to remain inside? This is the first time I'm attempting to mix pie crust in my food processor and I have misplaced my manual. Many Thanks

you need the blade in the unit in order to mix the pie crust. but do not over mix. its best to do it in short pulse bursts. otherwise the crust will come out resembling fluffy playdough and will not holdtogether during baking
