SOURCE: no sound when phone rings

I called Verizon Wireless and the said, if you go to “My Sounds” or “My Ringtones” select the song that you want to hear and press the play button. While the ringtone is playing press the button on the side of the phone to raise the volume…you should be able to hear the ringtone. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Stuck on silent mode and cannot get the ringer to ring

All you have to do is hold the pound (#) button down. It will then say exit silent mode. If you ever want to put your phone back in silent mode, just hold the pound (#) button down.

SOURCE: the ringer on my Palm Pixi does not work, there is

There is a slide button thing on the side of the phone right above the volume up and down keys. Its a switch, either red or black. when the switch is over so it looks red, the phones sound is totally off, and then you switch it back to black, you have your ringer sound again.

My iphne 3 will only vibrate but not ring

If you're missing incoming phone calls due to your iPhone not ringing, you may have accidentally switched the ringer to vibrate or silent, according to Apple. The switch on the left side of the iPhone turns off the ringer and usually sets your phone to vibrate mode, but if your iPhone's vibrate setting is also disabled the phone will instead be set to silent mode. When in the phone's sound settings vibrate mode can be enabled, and the ringer volume of your phone is adjustable.

My iphone 3g does not ring, i can hear the ring if i have on ear phones or an ear piece. the signal seems to be okay. the settings seem to be correct.

Dear Dburnett412.

If you can't hear the ringer when there is an incoming call to your iPhone 3G, you may have overlooked whether or not the ring/silent switch is set to silence the ringer. The ring/silent switch is above the volume switch. If you can see orange on this switch, it's set to vibrate. Switch it to ring and you should be all good.
If this doesn't help, you may want to consider resetting the iPhone.

My phone doesn't ring or vibrate also the speaker doesn't work

Hi,there are three things you need to check..

The vibration..
The ringer...
The flex....

Hi, what makes nothing happens even when trying different levels of the vibration is because the ******** of the phone that makes the phone vibrate when someone calls is damaged.

You need to replace the ******** before it will respond again. It is located inside the phone, always round in nature.

When replacing the ******** of the phone, you have to be careful when unscrewing the phone screws.

Get a phone screw, unscrew necessary screw off, take the back cover off locate the ********, (round like the ringer)But the difference is clear.Go to any phone repair store around your area and purchase another phone by tell them the model and make of the phone.

After replacing the ********, screw back the screws and your done.

Would advice, if no knowledge about phone repairs, please contact a skill full personnel for help.

What causes phones not to ring out is when the ringer that makes you hear a tone when someone calls is damaged and does not work properly again.

The ringer is located inside the phone. You can get access into the phone by unscrewing the phone with a phone screw. It a little bit technical when unscrewing the phone.Just be careful not to damage the phone.

How to unscrew the phone.

Remove the back cover of the phone where the battery is,
then remove also the battery, at the edge you will see where the screw are located.(look closely).

After unscrewing, the screws, Open from the size of the phone, you will see where the ringer is located. It's usually round in nature. Remove and cover up the phone. (you can get a replacement ringer from any phone repair and sale of part store around you.

Ones your through with the ringer , 'wa la' Your done..

Note:if you can't loose the phone, in other not to cause damage to the phone, please contact a skill full personnel for assistance.Thanks.

Before you replace it,you can also clean up the ringer ,there might be dirt stopping it from working properly.

Hope it helped......
The flex of the phone is located inside the phone, it controls the functions of the screen an also the keypads of the phone and also the ringer and vibration...

The flex is a thread like object that is located inside the phone. To see the flex, you will need to disassemble the phone to get to the flex of the phone.

After replacing the phone flex, your done.

Also it might be the screen of the phone. But in other to know if it's the screen, you will need to test a new flex.

You can get a replacement flex from any of the phone repair stores around you.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for using fixya...

VIBRATE STAYS ON

Follow the below instructions and you can remove the vibrate state. I have included a link to download the phone's manual as a PDF file.

Sound Settings
Ringer Types
Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages.
You can assign ringer types to individual Contacts entries,
types of calls, and types of messages.
Downloaded Ringers can be downloaded right to your
phone.
Preprogrammed Ringers include a variety of standard
ringer types and familiar music.
Vibrating Ringer alerts you to calls or messages without
disturbing others.
Selecting Ringer Types for Voice Calls
Your phone provides a variety of ringer options that allow you
to customize your ring and volume settings. These options
allow you to identify incoming calls by the ring.
To select a ringer type for voice calls:
1. Select Menu > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type >
Voice Calls.
2. Select With Caller ID or No Caller ID.

Ring vs vibrate

This phone allows you to independently set ring and vibrate modes. When you access "Call Vibrate" to set the mode, also visit the "Call Ringtone" menu to turn off the ringer.

You may want to leave the vibrate mode OFF and your ring tone ON and use the quick keys to switch between ring and vibrate. Two ways to do this, push and hold the # key to switch between normal mode (the settings you chose in "Call Ringtone" and "Call Vibrate") or use the side volume button to access the "Master Volume" and select "All Off", "Vibrate" or a ring tone volume.

If this helps you, please leave me a good rating.
