Question about Whirlpool WMH31017AB 1.7 cu. ft. Microwave Hood Combination in Black
The light or the fan also does not work.
If it's totally dead, check the main fuse - located inside the cabinet where the power cord enters. If this is the problem, check to make sure the door switches are working properly, and the tension on the fuse holder is sufficient to prevent the fuse from heating up during operation. The fuse holder might have to be replaced. Make sure the unit is unplugged before testing anything, and either discharge the high voltage capacitor, or stay well away from it. 4000 v going through your finger lights it up pretty well, and is very unpleasant!
