Your unit is going out. What you need to do is simple just buy a new one. You won't be able to get that one fixed because no one repairs the screen only.

Hello there! i think your nintendo ds still can't be fixed ....you can fix it yourself if you have some soldering skills but if you don't then you can hand your nintendo ds lite in to the professionals to work on at the nintendo repair shop

My nintendo ds screens wont turn on at all not even a flicker i just bought it from my friend green light turns on and it charges whats wrong

Your problem isn't with the screen it is with the fuses.

your fuse or fuses are dead. however, it is fixable, but it is extremely difficult.

1. if you don't have the time or the means or the wants to solder it, then sell it on ebay and you can get a fairly good price and someone else will fix it

2. if you do want to go through with this then you will need a meter, a soldering iron, and a lot of time and patience.

If you are interested, just notify me

if the bottom screen flashes it's the top lcd screen (yes the top) is broken

DS Powering On

Hi, if the bottom screen briefly comes on with a white screen. There is a issue with the top screen, it is either the top screen itself or if there is damage to the hinge it will more than likely be the cheaper option the ribbon cable that threads though the hinge to the top screens PCB board.

Both Screens Flicker after trying to replace touch screen

I finally solved the flickering problem on my DS (!), after I made my 1st engineering attempt overhaul shell, top screen and broken right hinge.   Was really frustrated about the flicker afterwards, and opened up unit back up too many times to debug (risked damage to cable ribbon everytime!).
Anyway turns out there's 2 hidden screws (location:  inside the battery compartment near where the front 'volume slider' is located) that adjusts the flickering (like how you need to calibrate an LCD monitor from doing same flickering effects) . You'll need a really (really!) small philips (+) screwdriver to do the adjustment.
Open up the battery cover with the VOL label upside down & facing you.  The adjustment screws are recessed deep inside the plastic...a right and left screw.  With the DS turned 'ON' to see the screen (whether you twist your neck to be able to see or have a mirror on the table in front of the DS)....slowly/carefully turn the screws to adjust until you like the clarity.  That's it.   The right screw = bottom screen.  The left screw = top screen.
Now.... on to figuring out how to replace or fix the broken Power toggle switch that I snapped off!  Currently using the toothpick method, but that's getting old!  Any suggestions, I'd appreciate it!
