Question about Dell Latitude E5400 Laptop
I put a disk inside my computer and I can't find the disk anywhere.
I have had this happen and i had to leave the dvd door opened and picked it up and shook it until it came out so try that firs and if that dont work you well have to take it apart

Does your laptop show u the DVD-ROM Drive? If not what u can do is go to the device manager searching for it.

Dell doesn't realy have a "recovery" CD. What they shipped is a re-installation CD of the original OS (OEM edition). If you don't have this, you can probably download it from a torrent site and install the OS again using the installation code from the license sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

Please check the Backlight in BIOS. To go to BIOS, restart your system and start tapping the F2 key. Check if the backlight is fine or not. IF not , you need to get the LCD replace.

If you are not using it, uninstall Dell Control Point Connection manager, then the Window Wireless configuration will function normally

I want to believe it's a driver problem. Please use a USB mouse, use the mouse to go to
- Insert DELL recovery DVD and look for the Pad driver to reinstall
- Restart the Computer after

You should be able to turn both of these on using one of your function keys, and the number keys across the top. The wireless symbol should be F5 (it is on my laptop) so hold function (bottom left key) and hit F5, that should start your wireless.
