Yeah, I hate when that happens. Did it hurt your head when that happened? The cement at the bottom of the pool can be a real head banger! Take some aspirin. That may ease the pain. And don't jump into the pool head first anymore!

My pool Heater is leaking

You will need to take the top off the heater to see exactly what is leaking. It could be something as simple as a header gasket, or as bad as holes in the heat exchanger.

This could be a number of things. Most often it will be the internal by-pass. You find the assembly inside the water header, it controls water flow through the heater. When it goes bad it can open at a low temp and keep the water from going through the heater.
Also you will want to check the temp probe on the side of the header. If this is bad it will usually show up on the temp display though.

The header on a raypack heaater has been replaced due to rotting on old manifold. New one also leaks in same area. Whats up here? Bad header?

The header could be good while maybe the heat exchanger is warped. If this is the case it is due to abrupt temperature changes or a bad burn.
Might as well get a new heater if this is the case, but make sure to get to the root of the problem first so it does no happen again.

It's not that hard if you can get the old plug out. This is located benith the water pipes and is a 2" plug. If you have a cast or bronze header (where the water pipes connect) It's simpley a matter of unscrewing with a pipe wrench and the thermal govenor just pulls out and slips in then put the plug back in. If you have a plastic header you unscrew the plug using a square shaft screwdriver or like pry bar, you can also use a large set of waterpump pliers most people won't have these on hand. The problem comes at this point the plastic will have a tendesy to stick to itself, meaning the threads will stick to the header and may stripp off when you unscrew the plug. If this happens you will need to replace the header. If your pool company abaonded the job this may be the case. If not you may want to take the whole header off and replace it from the back this is harder but safer. Good luck with your project.

Hayward navigator model #925CS keeps tipping on it's side.

Mine did the exact same thing. It's the hose that connects to the navigator. Replace it!! Problem solved.

The Header Hose becomes brittle and won't bend properly which causes the Navigator to tip on the side or backwards.

My advise is to replace all the hoses. If the header hose is bad so are the rest of them.
