I have G-shock 3011 and it stopped working after a session of sea walk

if you dry the watch out completely and the battery is good it might work again. when the battery is removed there is often a couple of pins you need to short out before the watch will work

Replace battery on g-shock

It is advisable to take your watch shop and ask them to replace the battery for you.

One of the cries for help that appear on this web site is "I have changed the battery and the watch doesn't work now".

It is not really worth the risk of doing it yourself.

Watch Stopped Working

The battery is empty, replace it yourself or take it to a local watch repairer / dealer, he or she will probably charge you around 5 $ for the new battery and replacing it.

I've changed my battery on my casio g-shock dw 003 but the illuminator no longer works! why?

Did the same with my DW-003 and thought I'd broken the Illuminator (and the alarm didn't work). Next battery change was via a shop and the illuminator worked again (as did the alarm). This was just a battery cahnge, rather than a repair job - One of those things, I guess

Buttons stopped working

Probably you changed battery youself. If that's right, then open watch again, take battery out and check it with tester if it is fully charged. If yes- put battery back in place and secure the contact. Now carefully check for AC sign on movement. When found- take fine tweezers and connectAC with battery+ for 3 seconds.
Watch should work now, but resetting is needed. Use your watch manual to reset all watch functions.
NOTE: Some movements require connect AC and+ twice. This should be written inside caseback or on battery cover.

Good luck.

Buttons topped working

did the inside of the watch get shifted when the battery was put in or cover repleced. So the out side button doesn't touch the inside sensors.

Change the battery. This happened with mine along with the battery needing charging more frequently. In my opinion, Casio's assertions that you won't need to change the battery is pretty much of a joke. My jewler concurred.

After changing the battery I can now press the light switch button and the watch works normally.
