This belt and pulley are what spins the fan.Which explains why it is not pumping air. What you will need to do is take the whole front off flip up the top and remove the drum.at that point you will see a fan housing on the bottom directly under where the drum was.you need to screw that pulley you found back on to the fan shaft and run the belt that you found from the fan pulley to the front of the drive motor. Then reinstall the drum and drum belt and it's good as new.a good thing to do would be to use some loctite when screwing the fan pulley back on so it will not fall apart again.another little tip is that pulley has a reverse thread so you will need to screw it on counter clockwise. Also on most models with this type of fan you need to get to the drum belt from the back of the dryer to remove and install the drum belt

SOURCE: Kenmore series 70 electric dryer idler pulley

I figured this one out...there are two pairs slots...the tab of the idler pulley goes in the right slot near the motor and the idler pulley goes off to the left.

SOURCE: Can't get replacement parts back on Kenmore 60 series dryer.

The belt has groves, right? Make sure the groves go over the motor pulley from the right. The idler pulley is spring loaded. Place the belt around the idling pulley with the smooth side of the belt on the pulley. This should work.

SOURCE: dryer belt broke on my kenmore series 80

With the front cabinet panel off, place the drum against the back and on the rear rollers. The roller on the right will sometimes move toward the rear so reach from underneath and pull it forward. The rollers should sit in the groove. The drum will tilt forward but shouldn't fall off. Route the belt around drum, pulley and motor. Tilt the drum back and support it while placing the front panel back onto it's hooks. With the front panel on (don't screw it on yet), rotate the drum by hand to make sure the seal is not kinked and the belt won't slide off the pulley or motor. If all is well screw in the front panel and re-assemble the rest.

Smell rubber

i have found that when people start smelling things in the dryer it's from chemicals from like paint or varnish, all the dryer does is move air when it gets hot you start smelling it.you can pull it apart and check the belt and rollers but your dryer has the lint filter on top and there isn't anything in there that could really make it smell,on some of these dryers the belt pulley doesn't have a wheel on it,the pulley is just a piece of metal with no moving parts and the belt rubs on the pulley but i've never smelt anything from that, like i say usually it's from having your floors done over the smell from the polyurethane coating or from paint can make the dryer smell.go here to take dryer apart

your lint filter is on top so unplug it,remove the lint filter and the two screws on top in front of the filter, get a screw driver, stick in into the space where the top and front meet around two iches from each corner and lift up,pop the top up,on the right side you'll see the door switch harness, get a small screw driver, stick into the harness to separate it,pull it apart and then look at the right and left side a few inches down and you'll see a 5/16 inch screw one on each side, remove them and pull up on the front panel,,pull up first on right side then left side.now reach in on the right side, stick your head inside the drum and lift the drum with right shoulder, pull up on the belt pulley and remove the belt, first look at how the belt connects to the motor so when you reinstall it you know how it goes.now lift the top and pull the drum.there's a kit that comes with the belt rollers and new pulley, change out these parts and your noise should be gone, also while you're in there vac up all the lint, put the dryer back together but don't reinstall the two screws on top, pull out the dryer and remove the vent line and back wall,on the left side remove the four screws that hold the metal duct in place, clean out the duct and vac up any lint, put that back together and the two screws on top,if the vent line is long,i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line,if you clean out the dryer once a year and the vent line you'll hardly have any problems with this dryer,.watch this video and good luck,if you need any other help with any appliance let me know and hopefully we can get it done.

Bosch Nexxt 800 series dryer E01 error

My wife has a Bosch Premium dryer that had drying problems. The lint filter would get cleaned but the machine still did not operate correctly, as you explained above. Her machine was made in 2005 and the lint screen, the plastic slotted unit in front of the lint filter was the problem. It gets clogged up with hair/lint that never makes it to the filter. I tried a shop vac to vacuum it but the problem was still there. Get a pistol cleaning kit for a 22 cal gun. Pull the lint filter out & then take the pistol rod and insert it from the drum side into each slot and pull out the tons of lint. Pull the lint off the rod when done and take a flame to burn the rest off as the rod is a brass brush with small wires on it.

How to fit a belt on a tumble dryer

unplug the dryer,
220v is not fun
dryers are generic inside, regardless of maker
while you got it apart to replace the belt is a good time to clean out exhaust vent pipes and the squirrel cage fan, no lint, better air flow, less $$ to run
3cd9043.jpg the tensioner may push Up on the lower run.

  • open case, most front panels are removed including door, remember to disconnect door switch wires, set panel aside
  • pull drum out
  • check drum support rollers
  • check drum felts, bushes guides
  • locate tensioner pulley, belts have been known to pull them out of the mounting when it breaks, check , reinstall if out
  • pick up broken belt off floor of case
  • take belt to parts store and match it, despite the huge number of dryer models there are very few belts.
  • If any felts or rollers are worn, stuck, damaged take them too to the parts store, and replace in pairs, despite the huge number of dryer models there are very few rollers or felts
  • after ensuring rollers anf felts and bearings are serviceable, loop new belt around drum at the wear mark from prior installation, reinsert drum
  • loop new belt around motor pulley.
  • pull tensioner pulley against spring to end of motion
  • loop belt around tensioner pulley
  • allow tensioner to slowly move back by spring tension till the belt is taut
put front panel back on, plugging in door switch
plug in mains
dry clothes
takes longer to type than to do

you need a dryer vent brush first, bought at home depot cheap, and clean the entire vent to the house, then clean where the vent hooks up to the machine,if your filter is where your door is pull out the filter and stick the brush in there and pull out lint, also use your vacume, remember you let some lint out when you let the hose blow out but theres a lot more there to clean, and also unplug your machine as you do this,if this helps please give me a fix ya vote

I found the answer to the code AF also and it means the air flow is blocked. I checked my dryer vent on the outside and it was clear. However when I removed the dryer duct it was clogged just inside the machine. I had washed and dried a blanket that shed alot!
