Gold locks mean the access point requires a security key which you will have to input in the DSI.
Hi, if you are using windows XP, check for your control panel, look for network connections, and then on the LAN or Highspeed internet portion, check if there is an icon for wireless connection, if there's none, the driver of you wireless is not installed. If there is, right click the icon and then select enable.
