Question about Singer 1507
My machine has suddenly stopped being able to sew properly. The needle and hand wheel are very stiff even without thread. Help please..
Hai, I think your machine timing is changed. So you can't sewing properly. Please check the timing and put the oil everyday all oil parts properly.

What did it end up being? I had the same issue with my machine today. It happened for no apparent reason, while.I was in the middle of a stitch. I was sewing with "minky" for the first time, so I assumed the fuzz had clogged up the machine, so I removed the plate and cleaned beneath the bobbin area, and it seemed to be working again. I sewed 2 sides of a blanket and the problem resumed. I repeated the steps I'd taken before, but can't get it functioning normally.
I can crank the hand wheel (not loaded with thread) once or twice and it moves freely, but as I turn a couple more times, it gets tighter and tighter until it won't move.
What's the deal? I'm so frustrated!

Testimonial: "It was the bobbin. I took it out, cleaned all around it, and put it back in. Make sure the bobbin is facing the correct direction. Hope this helps"

Make sure the bobbin winder is in the position away from the bobbin stopper. When you fill a bobbin, you have to push the "spindle" towards the handwheel. If you do not push the "spindle" back into position (away from the handwheel), the wheel will remain locked.
