Question about HP LaserJet Pro P1606DN Laser Printer with Auto Duplex Printing
I have 2 HP LaserJet Pro P1606DN printers, one attached via USB, the other network attached. When they go into power saving mode, the only way to wake them up is by pressing the power button, even though a print job is supposed to wake them. What's really odd is that the network attached printer used to wake up for a print job, but now it won't. Any ideas?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I think that Odyssey user is right it maybe that the print driver is not compatible with the program you are using goto hp.com or hp.co.uk and download the PCL 5e driver
Hope this helps you

Use any printer parallel 25pin convertor to USB cable and connect it to pc or notebook
Connect both ends from pc to 6L printer
Go to website to choose the correct O/S driver for installation
Use virtual USB port005 for printer 6L
Bi-directional option can be ticked
Click apply and ok
Unplug and replug the USB cable
Try printing a test page,
I have tried it, the vista download drivers works on vista, no problems in printing at all, advise from http://www.bebo.com/andythoo

Solved a similar problem by turning off the UAC (User Account Control) in Windows Vista and Windows 7 machines. Worked great without UAC on.
