First - did you reverse it? If that didn't work, unplug the shreader , trun the cutter head over and use a pair of tweezers to pull out the stuck pieces. You may have to turn -forward & reverse - a fe times.

Paper shredder doesn't move due to too much adhesive paper - how to fix it

Before trying anything I suggest, make sure your shredder isn't plugged in.
You will need to remove the adhesive from the rollers. You will need to use a glue solvent on the shredder rollers, something like Goo Be Gone. Personally, I still use Ronsonol Lighter Fluid In the image below I've outlined the supplies you'll need to, hopefully, clear your jam.

25346531-f3timxio4jyou4u0bydnlgfi-2-0.jpg Without disassembling your shredder, the best way to clear your jam is to use Rosonol Lighter Fluid (3), tweezers (4), and dental picks (5).
  1. Make sure you are working in a well ventilated area. Separate the shredder from its shredded paper collection tub.
  2. Turn the shredder head upside down so that the paper output is facing up.
  3. Pour Rosonol lighter fluid on both sides of the rollers near where they come together.
  4. Use dental picks and tweezers to dislodge stuck paper pieces
  5. Turn Shredder head over and repeat steps 3 and 4
  6. Move power switch to the "Off" position
  7. Plug power cable back in
  8. Move power switch to "Rev" (reverse) position, if still stuck move power switch to the "Fwd" position, repeat twice
  9. Repeat steps 1 - 8 until the rollers move freely
Once the rollers are moving smoothly you need to oil the rollers.

Can you describe the concern better? Is the transparency stuck inside the blades? Did it shut off the overload switch.

I assume you pushed the switch to reverse the blades to remove the transparency. You can assist this process by using a pair of pliers by grabbing the transparency and gently pulling while you reverse the blades. I have gone forward and backwards a couple of times when I put in credit cards that stopped the shredder.

Wont shut off I have to move switch to reverse then back to auto /on

in a lot of the models there is a switch in the middle of the slot where you put in the paper, right where the credit card shredder part is at. sometimes it's gets stuck. lean the shredder back and try tapping on the top. NOT BEATING on it just tapping it. in auto mode it should shut off once the switch jars loose. you may have to lean it forward also if the switch is in the front, just try both directions. you may need to unplug and turn the head over and check and make sure paper or plastic isn't stuck in the switch if it won't shut off at all. remember... UN PLUG IT BEFORE POKING AROUND IN IT!!!!

Executive Machines EPS-1200X Shredder has power but papers are stuck and there is no sound from motor

You will need to clear the jammed paper using tweezers from between the rollers. Make sure the sensor arm in the middle of feed opening is not stuck and moves up and down freely. If not you will need to give it a good soak with lubricant to allow any stuck paper to soften and loosen. Once cleaning procedure done unit will be good as new

It will come on but when i put the paper there to shred it, it wont do anything.

I was having the same problem with my shredder. I called customer service; I was informed it was the gears on the inside of my shredder. My shredder is no longer under warranty. However, she is mailing me out the part I need for a small fee. Their customer service number is 1-800-327-8508 in the USA and international only 1-310-793-5650. I do hope this help you!

Is there any oiling that needs to be done to the gears or motor?

If you are the type that can weild a screwdriver then do the following...
about once per year open the machine up( unplugged of course ) and use an air compressor or a brush to get all the accumulated paper dust out of the inside of the shredder. Put some oil on any moving parts. You should also occassionaly be oiling the cutting teeth/shafts as all cross cut shredders should be lubricated regularly with a lightweight shredder oil. Do this and you will give yourself the chance to extend the life of the machine...last main thing to do is to limit the number of sheets you shred at a time to approx no more than 70% of the rated maximum...this will put less strain on the motor and gear-train.

When I put a sheet in to shred, the shredder makes the normal sound but nothing happens. The same thing happens for reverse. This has occured after I had cleared a bad paper jam (there doesn't seem to be...

You dont give make or model???...however it sounds like you may have lost/broken a plastic gear inside..( the normal sound is the motor running??)...open it up to see what has been broken then contact the manufacturer.
This call was logged under "ROYAL" so if it is a Royal shredder you can contact them at 1-800-524-0799 for parts assistance once you know what is broken.

Paper stuck in the Fellows Paper Shredder

  1. Remove Shredder from paper catcher bin
  2. Remove shredder cover from shredding mechanism assemble (approx. 6 screws on bottom of cover)
  3. Separate shredding mechanism from bottom cover (may have disconnect circuit board from assembly and other wiring from switches , sensors, etc,)
  4. Remove motor gear cover (approx. 4 screws)
  5. Separate shedder main drive gear from motor step up gear by pulling gear out
  6. Turn shredder mechanism up side down to access the cutting blades
  7. Use an adjustable wrench to turn the main drive gear to see stuck paper
  8. Use a needle noise pliers to remove paper shreds
  9. Repeat step 7 and 8 until all shreds are remove and cutting mechanism move smoothly
  10. Reassembly before testing shredder
  11. If you remove only some of the shreds, the motor may seize up and strip the plastic gears from step up gear.
