  1. Rory, normally you shouldn't have to disassembly anything to solve this problem. Clean the screen where the air is drawn in at the rear of the hair dryer with a small brush, like an old toothbrush. If you still have a problem, be sure the dryer is unplugged, remove any nozzles attached to the discharge end and then remove any screws you can find that will allow the case to be split into the left and right sides. Some times these screws may be hidden under labels or stickers. There also may be clips holding the case together which may be released by flexing the case or slipping a thin tool into the seam and pushing or twisting to release them.

Skipping and cutting out after about ten or twelve miles

run fault codes and look for venting problem. canister purge servo /sensor. The fuel tank may not be venting properly and the vacuum in the tank is reducing fuel supply to the injectors. Alternatively check for a collapsed cat converter blocking off the exhaust.

The dryer keeps shutting down. i toke the filtre out and noticed water standing in the rear pan of the dryer. can this be a pump or clog issue?

It sounds like your dryer is not venting properly. Remove the vent hose from the back of the dryer and test the dryer again to see if it shuts down. If it is normal with the vent hose off your vent pipe is plugged.

Why does my system cut out at high audio levels?

There is not enough power output coming out of the amplifier and the overload switch kicks off. Sometimes this can be caused by cooling. Check your venting in the back for dust build up. Hope that helps!

Dryer takes long time to dry. usually 2 or 3 cycle. Filycter is cleaned after every cycle. Vent hose is not blocked

This complaint usually is attributed to clogged exhaust venting somewhere. As a process of elimination, remove the exhaust venting from behind the dryer and run your loads. If the dryer dries clothes properly, then your issue is definitely with the exhaust venting (e.g.: inside wall, attic, etc.). If possible, check the entire path of exhaust venting or contact a vent cleaning company.

Dryer sensor keep opening

Sometimes this will happen if you have blocked venting or the venting is too long of a run. Try doing a load of Towels with the vent off the back of the dryer. If it doesn't open the sensor you know that the venting was the problem.

I have a Fisher Paykel Smartload model DEGX1.It just shut off the other day and will not turn back on..I checked the circuit breaker it was not blown...any suggestions?

It is possible the thermal cut out has tripped. The front panel of the machine would need to be removed, and the cut out manually reset. You will need to find the cause of the tripping. The most likely cause is incorrect venting of the product, check venting before running machine again
