Is the pedal air or electric? I fit is an air pedal, then one of the bladders inside the motor housing is busted and it will not activate the down switch. If it is an electrical pedal, then there is a problem with power or a bad switch inside the motor housing. If you are not familiar with electrical, I would suggest hiring someone to look at it. Possibly trade out a visit with an electrically inclined patient. If you have more questions, contact me through my website,

Brake pedal goes to floor

for the pedal to go to the floor there is still air in the brake system. Start again starting from the longest line bleeding each in turn to the shortest line . make sure you have adjusted up the rear brakes before bleeding as every time you press on the pedal the shoes expand right out and when you take your foot off the pedal the shoes go all the way back in. adjust them manually and do not rely on the self adjuster as it only adjusts on wheel movement

My Triton 500 feezes at the start up screen. I have tried new batteries, taking the batteries out and placing them back in, and tried the Enter, Esc. and power buttons simultaniously. Still the same...

Triton 500 are junk. I finally just replaced it with a Garmen. They refer to them as "Red Bricks". Contact he repaired my once but it still had issues. His service is great, and will allow you to re-install the operating system. I just got sick of fixing it as it let me down in the field too many time and it got harder and harder to turn on. Sorry for the bad news.

My magellan triton 500 will not fully turn on. It statrts to load the bat goes all the way and then freezes. I can not turn it off either.

You need to reset the magellan triton 500, then it will fully come on and stay on. To reset this type of magellan. What you have to do is to take out the battery and reinstall it back in. That should do the job for you, and if that does not solve the problem, then you have to back up the maps on a computer then format the triton then restore the software and maps back on it. Now am assuring you that will do the job.
Hope this information helped you.

I looked up the correct way to wire my JL 13.5W7 1.5. Therefore it said to wire it in parrallel. I understand this will put it at .75 ohm. As I start to turn it up it sounds great, very loud but once the...

1000/1v2 Class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier Specifications:

    Rated Power:
    1000 W RMS @ 1.5 ohm - 4 ohm (11V-14.5V)

    THD at Rated Power:
    <0.05% @ 4 ohm

    S/N Ratio:
    >95dB below rated power (A-weighted, 20 Hz - 20 kHz noise bandwidth)

    Frequency Response:
    5 Hz - 250 Hz (+0, -1dB)

    Damping Factor:
    >500 @ 4 ohm / 50 Hz

According to the chart your amp is only stable down to 1.5 Ohms, so running at .75 Ohms the noise you are hearing is the amp clipping (running more power than it can handle at low ohms)
I would suggest wiring it in series, or you could adjust the gain on the amp until the popping goes away.

    Hope this helps.

Installing national geographic topo maps on my magellan triton500

Two possible answers and they are both dependable on the serial number of the map vs.the serial number of the GPS. The best solution is to use Vantage Point to do the transfer. The second method is to directly load the map to an SD card under the directory MAP_DATA and then place in the GPS. Then do a MENU>>VIEW>>MAPS and activate the map. If the map is missing you do not have it under the MAP_DATA directory. If the map shows a RED "X" then the serial number of the map is not the same as the serial number of the GPS.

Serial meaning 2.5mm stereo headphone looking jack to DB9 or "atari joystick" looking plug? I had one on my first Toshiba PDR-M1 camera but that was like 9 years ago. You can probably find the pinouts online for that cable, I believe it is a standardized cable.

The stereo plug is wired to the PC serial port as shown in the following diagram:
    tip ring sleeve +---------------------------------+
    | |
    /-------+-----+--------------+ |
    | RxD | Gnd | TxD | 2.5 mm Stero Plug |
    \-------+-----+--------------+ |
    | |
    DB9*: pin 2 pin 5 pin 3 +---------------------------------+

DB9*: Optionally short together pin 4 (DTR) to pin 6 (DSR) and
pin 7 (RTS) to pin 8 (CTS)
The following table also describes the camera cable's wiring: Camera PC's
    Plug DB9* Signal Name Direction
    ---- ---- ----------- ---------
    - 1 Carrier detect (CD) input to PC
tip 2 Receive data (RxD) input to PC
sleeve 3 Transmit data (TxD) output from PC
    - 4 \ Data terminal ready (DTR) output from PC
    ring 5 | Signal ground (Gnd) -
    - 6 / Data set ready (DSR) input to PC
    - 7 \ Request to send (RTS) output from PC
    - 8 / Clear to send (CTS) input to PC
    - 9 Ring indicator (RI) input to PC
    * Note that the cable's D-subminature DB9 RS-232 serial port connector is female. This connector also goes by the historically more correct name of "DE-9J".
