Eircom phonewatch system battery low

Sensor battery needed replacing so I popped the fuse from the main control panel to stop it beeping while I located a new one. That's done now, but now the panel beeps every minute because the 'system battery is low'. How do I replace the system battery?

SOURCE: Alert system battery voltage low (Beep Beep)

Bigbiggs is correct. Also, most newer BIOS have an option that states to Start up (BOOT) or Not Start up (NOT BOOT) on power failure. Because the battery is not keeping BIOS settings, this may be reverted back to Start up when power is applied. Check BIOS settings when you get tha battery situation sorted out.

SOURCE: can not locate fuse box under instrument panel

I spent a good hour trying to find the "instrument panel fuse box". I almost started ripping the wrong stuff off. Think they could have stamped it to identify it a bit better?

You must open the door, it's right there on the side. It doesn't look or feel like it should come off (piece with a vent hole of sorts). You have to really reef on it, it does come off.

Probably get a little needle nose pliers for getting the fuses out now.

SOURCE: one beep constantly

Most new smoke detectors work off of two power sources, electric and battery backup. The battery is used to power the detector if primary electrical AC power is lost. It would be a good idea to replace all detector batteries every two years or so. You'll access the battery by opening the unit, find out the type used and then purchase a replacement at your local store. Hope this helps.

Hi i got a 2009 bentely continental gt went on vacation got back and batteteries are flat replaced them but car wont still crank

  • I have never done any Bentley work. However from what you are saying I would suggest locating the junction box under the hood. This is a relay and fuse box. Pop the lid and on the under side is the legend for the panel layout. Look for the main fuse as this fuse will stop everything. I also suggest you look for any relays marked for the "ignition." Sounds like one of the relays for the ignition of that main fuse are bad. For about any car I would start with this after replacing the battery.

  • There is always the possibility of this being the starter just went out too but this can be tested before replacing but check the panel box first.

  • If you have the owners manual you can look up the exact location of them as well.

  • Hope this helps.

Hello

Check the following:

* Circuit breaker on main control box is tripped
* Fuse blown (check fuse in main control box assembly).
* Incorrect polarity at battery terminals
* Dead batteries.
* Charging cable is still connected to charging receptacle
* One of the cable connections at the main control box is loose.
* Control connection cable disconnected
* Broken key switch
* Throttle stuck fully open
* Throttle control potentiometer broken.
* Speed potentiometer broken
* Battery voltage too low.
* Faulty charging cable.
* Charger not working.
* Charging circuitry in main control box assembly not working

If these check OK, the problem is likely to in the control connection cable or upper control box Verify that the upper control box is getting 24V. (Blue wire on red connector.)

* If the upper control box is not getting 24V, replace control connection cable

* If the upper control box is getting 24V, check key switch operation and verify wiring in the upper control box. Trace voltage from keyswitch on to find where the problem occurs. (Replace upper control box if necessary.)

* Charge batteries with a 12V charger or replace if necessary.

* Ohm test the charging cable - replace if necessary.

* Test scooter with a different charger, if new charger works, replace charger.

* Check wiring in main control box assembly - replace in line relay if necessary
* If batteries, charger, and all wiring is good, replace controller PCB. (Note the model number for the PCB, for example 1208-2330.)

I hate to say it, but you will have to go one by one. There is a box under the hood on the drivers fender with fuses, and drivers side dash, just above the kick panel. Its faces down, has a black cover on it. I really hope you didn't burn you computer, but what I would do is take your owners manual and locate the MAIN POWER fuse. It will be a high amperage probably 50-90 amps, and most likely be located under the hood in that fuse box. Usually that is what blows if you have a power spike like that. Thanks.

Westech 5000 battery low and i can't figure out how to fix it

There are 2 posibilities for having a low battery. 1) Your main backup battery for the control panel is low, or 2) You have wireless transmitters in your system that use small batteries and need to be replaced. To replace the control panel's battery look for a large metal box which is the control panel. These panels are normally located either in the basement or a 1st floor closet. Open the panel if you have a key. If you do not have a key take a pry bar and pop the box so it opens. Inside you will find an electronic motherboard with a black & red wire which is plugged into the battery. Grab a hold of the connector at the battery and wiggle/pull until the wire/connector disengages. Do the same for the other wire. Take the battery to a battery warehouse store and have them match it up. Be sure when reconnecting the new battery to plug the black wire/connector into the balck marked side of the battey and red to red. If you have a wireless system you will need to pull apart one of the transmitters & see the type of battery used. Replace all the batteries at the same time. They will last normally 3-5 years. The control panel's battery will last about 5 years.

Non stop trouble beeping every 30 on my simon 3 security system

Two separate problems: Sensor failure and phone communication failure. Most likely, you've not been hooked up to a phone for a while but the system didn't know until it tried to transmit to the monitoring center that you removed a cover on a sensor.

I can tell you how to turn off the panel beeps, "beeps" not only includes the trouble beeps that are driving you crazy, but also the beeps letting you know it's counting down, either when you've just armed it or when you come home right before the alarm sounds.

Open the cover and enter your code using the red numbered buttons inside there. It doesn't beep when you press buttons, so press them well. When you've done it right, it will tell you to choose from the Start Menu. Choose "DELETE". Then, from the Main Menu, choose "OPTION #". Then press DONE. You have now turned off beeps. You haven't fixed anything and that sensor still isn't working but it's not beeping to get your attention now. Press SYSTEM STATUS two times to hear it tell you what's going on.

To turn beeps on again, open cover, enter code and choose ADD > OPTION # > DONE.

System Low Battery Alarm

You can silence trouble beeps by arming and disarming the system or by pressing status button; however, trouble beeps resume after 4 hours if the trouble condition as not been fixed. You can turn the trouble beeps off in the programming option 40. This should be done by your security professional because any mistake you could change other parameters in the system and the system may not work correctly. Hope this helps

Simon 3 "System Low Battery" after 3 years use

I install these panels.  For the low battery message to clear you need to power the system down completely.  To do this you need to unplug the battery and also unplug the transformer plugged into an electrical outlet.  When you power the system back up, you need to first plug in the battery leads.  Then the transformer.

Dacor Oven Won;t Heat

power surges can short out the electonics in appliances. If you can locate where the tech sheet is and I would say its behind the control panel on top, look at the wiring diagram and see if there are any replaceable fuse's. Or a resetable fuse for the heating element. If not check to see if power is getting to the main control bord. If there is power there you may need to replace the control.
