Question about Cameras

1 Answer

Transferring pictures I am having an issue with transferring pictures from the camera. An error message has come up at the end of the transfer. It says:An error occured while saving images. Check your image capture device connection and try again.By that, it means the USB cord connection. So I have checked that. Then, I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling. That didn't work either. I don't know what to do.Please help.Thank you.

I had no problem the first couple of times I accessed the pictures but now it "seems" that the camera shuts down and I get an Windows error message indicting and unknown error and that the camera is not responding

Hi,

A couple of things you can try:
1. Insert the Camera's USB cord to another USB port of your PC;
2. While disconnected from the PC, verify that the pictures are still inside the camera's memory;
3. Reset the camera (power on/off);
4. Check the camera's batteries;
5. Reboot your PC with the camera attached via the USB;
6. Remove the memory card from the camera and try uploading using a card reader;
7. Uninstall all instances of your USB in your PC's Device Manager, reboot and allow the PC to auto-detect  and auto-install necessary drivers; and
8. Verify that the software/drivers for your camera are installed correctly with no yellow or red markings.

Hope this be of some help. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Can see pictures on camera and in file when connected to my macbook (running osx leopard), but cannot transfer 700 pictures from my camera to my macbook. i was in the process of transferring about 1200...

you just mite have no more room on your macbook. if you do then it also could be that the files are protected or cant be read by the system. try to open up the files on your memory stick and copy and past or drag and drop see if that dose any different effect.

Unrecognized file format

Honestly, try transferring the images to your computer without using the Easyshare software. This software has been causing some problems for some users. After you have the images on your computer...open them up and then save them as JPEGs. This should help fix the problem with the transferring.
